I don't think there is a similar thread. The game has to be from 2022, the platform doesn't matter.
If you have no game of the year, which game has disappointed you the most this year? Again, from 2022.

My pick for the best game would be Blacktail. :)
I mentioned it in a couple threads, so I'll keep it short, I simplay love the story and characters. :)

The biggest disappointment is The Knight Witch hands down. The last 2 hours were a slog to play through.

Edit: I'll add an exception. What about games that only released on gog this year, but have been around for a while? :)

Game Of The Year
Syberia: The World Before
There's always something magical about Syberia games.

Close runner-up
Return To Monkey Island
Who can resist the charms of Guybrush Threepwood?
I'm not sure I played anything from this year, aside from Dwarf Fortress "Now it has a UI!"
Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Hah. Like I can run anything that came out this year.
Tetris 99 for me, been stuck to the switch playing the hell out of the Offline Cartridge version of the game with AI and it's been a blasty blast of a time.

I'm pretty sure you could run my GOTY, which would be The Excavation of Hob's Barrow. ;)

I haven't played a lot of 2022 games either though. Runners-up would be Supraland: Six Inches Under and Hands of Necromancy, and that's about it.

I think you're right. Too bad I don't care much for point-&-click adventure games. :P
Elden Ring. I really thoroughly enjoyed it more than anything else I've played this year.

I have made an exception for titles that released on gog this year even if they have been released before 2022. Any title in that department that made it to your goty contenders? :)
For once the Game Awards got it right, Elden Ring. It's not the best From Soft game, but it is the best game this year.

Best indie game: Citizen Sleeper

Sorry for my offtopic post, but did you buy a PS 4 or 5 copy or did you purchase it on Steam?
My standard PS4 is having issues running the game, I rarely have a smooth framerate. I searched around for a bit and some threads on Reddit and gamefaqs mentioned the game having performance issues and input delay, seems like a minority though and it could be that my PlayStation is dying. :P

Nope. Nothing I've bought and played this year was even new to GOG. Going by the release dates GOG uses, the newest game in my library that I've actually played is still Streets of Rogue, which is stated as having released in July of 2019, though it was in Early Access (elsewhere) for probably a couple of years before that.

Not sure how recent some of the games from itch's Ukraine bundle (from late last winter) were, but I haven't played many of those anyway.
Postal: Brain Damaged

It's mindblowing to me how this brilliant shooter got overlooked.

If you don't have a PS4 Pro, then your PS4 is probably fine. The game ran terribly, especially early on.

To answer your inquiry though, I got it on Steam.
