low rated
I have often heard people describe the game as "requiring a beefy PC to run" in reviews (be it here, Youtube, Steam). I would then launch the game and it ran reasonably well on my PC, which is rather weak (RTX 2060, Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB of RAM with 2133 MhZ).
Do these people expect newest AAA titles to run very well on a 560, or what? I used to play the Witcher 3 in 25 FPS low on my laptop, which would heat it up so much that touching it after 5 hours of gaming felt like hot iron. Sure, it wasn't a particularly great experience (though i loved the game itself, make no mistake) but i never complained that the game only runs on beefy PC's or whatever. I accepted the inferiority of my hardware, bit my tongue, and tried to enjoy the game. And, well, maybe it wasn't that bad after all. Console gamers play on 30 FPS and they consider than optimal, and 25 FPS is just slightly (albeit noticeably) worse. In fact, i will always have great nostalgia towards those days. Perhaps that's why the Witcher 3 holds such a special place in my heart - it reminds of the journey i went through to get where i am. Whenever i play it, i can still reminisce the old, innocent, stupid me, playing it on a laptop during holidays in Greece.
So, my rambling aside, what exactly is a "beefy PC'? Say, does a PC with a 2080ti qualify as beefy, when there has already been released a card (3070) that does slightly worse for a much preferable price, not to mention 2 cards which are objectively better (3080 and 3090) and that's just taking into account the Nvidia GPU's?
How exactly is a "beefy PC" measured?
