Microïds has 2 new games in pre-order status:

Both games are high quality adventure games and it seems that the games are not available on GOG...

Syberia 3? What? I mean, I guess it makes sense with everyone else going after older series that haven't been updated in a decade and making remakes for new customers or additions for fans who want more, and I'd love to play it when it gets released (DRM free, preferably), but I figured there wasn't much more to add after the second instalment.

Anyway, I think I didn't know about this earlier, so thank you. Now I'll go and forget about it until it gets released here and I'll be about as surprised then as I was reading the OP.

My wife's a big fan of the syberia series. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for q1 of 2017. They've been "working" on that title for something like a decade. And when money ran out last time, they basically said not to worry because fir the past 3 years they weren't really working in it anyway. Thy seem like aloof rich artists who just do whatever Willy nilly. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I got

Notice he wants Assassins Creed graphics or it'll be a commercial flop. What? And then after all the release date lies etc, it's coming out for Android and iOS, as well as all the consoles. Because Android is running Assassins Creed.

You don't understand. I asked why I can not pre-order the games on gog.com too.

I followed some discussions on the Microid Facebook page and it seems Microid does not want to sell games anymore on GOG in the future because that DRM-free thing....

Hmm, downer. Maybe that's just for the new releases. They might reconsider when the games can't be sold at new game levels any more.

Yeah, for me the real downer is in the word "anymore". I had a bit of a positivist, progressist optimism, thinking that it was a matter of GOG convincing publishers to overcome prejudices and try out the DRM-free model, and that objectively positive results would then justify it on their own. But it doesn't seem so, if publishers reject the DRM-free model after having tried it out. What does it imply ?

We have all seen the figures. Frankly, we're all in our best monk suits and praying like hell is breaking open in our offices. People, you need to get it together. I mean really get down and give some seriously rigorous handshakes with your DRM-free introductions. You need to erect some confidence in the model with the publishers and keep it that way. Find that sweet spot and reason with them until they come back to the fold. To hell with innuendos, go give blowjobs or go home.

I was making a joke saying that pre-ordering is what is wrong with Microids.
I'm not sure if you've been around the forum much, but let's just say that they do NOT have a favorable view of pre-orders being so much as even available. You sure about this? They released ABC Murders here not too long ago. Did they have a bad experience with that here or something? I mean, I know the price dropped on it substantially, but it did the same on Steam too, didn't it?

I guess I won't be buying their new games in that case. I would rather spend my heard-earned money on developers who are happy to release their games on GOG.
