— I need to slow down and read more carefully. Ignore this post, but let it stand as a testament to my stupidity. —

I bought some stuff on the sale and unlocked the free games, so I tried to redeem them. On the bottom-right of the page is a "I am not a robot" captcha. On the bottom-left is a message saying:

For human eyes only. Please prove that you're a robot by failing the challenge on this page.
Except if I do as instructed, I can't redeem the code. Is this some kind of joke, or am I missing something entirely?

It's a joke. Admittedly it can be a little misleading.

You actually have to prove that you are human by checking the box to redeem the codes.
Yes it's kind of a joke. You're supposed to enter the code in "Enter your code here" field and then click the white square with gray borders just left from "I'm not a robot" text, if you did it successfully it should spin a bit while turning blue and turn into a green check sign (you know almost like "V" but with shorter left part) and then you should click the green "Continue" just below the joke :)

For some reason, maybe I'm just tired, I read the message as "Prove you're a human by failing this challenge" instead of "Prove you're a robot by failing this challenge." Or maybe that means I'm some kind of sentient robot.
@GOG: Please do away with these user harassment practices - ie having to verify that I am human. It may make sense to use such schemes for "repeat offenders" but people who are clearly not fakes (logged in, just spent $$$, have never before failed at inputting a correct code) certainly should not be put through this.
That thing doesn't work.

I had no trouble buying or redeeming and does anyone here think for a minute I'm a human!?

You might be Defective, I suggest you to seek a maintenance professional :D

PS: When I first read this joke I was also like "wtf" and just ignored it and proceeded as usual, so we might considered it a failed attempt at humor from GOG's side :)

I demand that you put back the pic of the donkey that everyone thought was a dog.

Unfortunately, captcha not works on Opera :(

That's strange. I also use Opera and it works just fine for me.

Maybe there is a different problem?

That is exactly why I'm not going back to it. Poor Eeyore felt insulted!
I also noticed that as well when redeeming a code today. I hope there is some way to turn it off, but I'm not really bothered by its existence. That is as long as it doesn't squeeze into the rest of GOG.

Maybe GOG should use the Voight-Kampff test instead.
