An office alright, but the communist/socialist memoribilia is more or less just there for decorative purposes.
At that part of the film it's roughly 2 years into the post-Cold War era, so actually not that old as it may seem.

Can't blame, it's a very niche subject matter after all.
But quite watchable nonetheless, even if you have just a passing interest in the origins of the various, more 'extreme' underground subgenres of commercial mainstream Heavy Metal. Gore hounds should get their fill in any case with a very graphic and almost too realistic suicide and two of the arguably most drawn-out and fvcking brvtal stabbings ever put on film.

Yeah, I was reading up on it before I posted the response to the thread. As soon as I saw a few names in it, I immediately began to piece together how it might be. At some point I'll find myself watching it, but given how slowly I tend to get to "recent" releases, it'll probably be a solid year out if not more before I ever do.

That said, if you're cool with it I'm going to pass this off to HiasX since I actually don't have anything to post. I just looked up "Gol Stave church in film" and happened to land on Lords of Chaos. Just in case they don't re-check the thread, here's a quote to make sure their notifications pick it up...

I'm just chiming in here to note, that this movie has very little to do with reality.
The director changed a lot although he was part of that scene back then to on the one hand get back at some people he doesn't like (mostly Varg, for good reasons) and because he thought it would make a better movie.

It's about as far away from the truth as "Bohemian Rhapsody", so quite far.
