ABH20: Cool.
My Science Project

Loved that movie growing up.

Someone else can take my go.

KalarMacBran: My Science Project
Correct.
As long as people do not take their go, I will continue with my highly artistic and easily recognisable collages.

Akira Kurosawa is a great film maker, isn't he. Seven Samurai is one of my favourite movies, and Ran is just a visual masterpiece.

I actually rented Ran about a month ago on Netflix because I've been trying to watch more Akira Kurosawa. I got to say the movie was pretty good and looked amazing, the DVD I watched though had a horrible sub-title track so I only got to understand half of it. Do you have any other Kurosawa films that I should watch? All I've really seen is Ran and Seven Samurai.

To start with I would say:

Rashomon
Throne of Blood (adaptation of Macbeth)
Yojimbo (inspiration for many films)
The Hidden Fortress (apparently one of the main inspirations for Star Wars)

and at least one other I will not name because of the nature of the thread

Rashomon is a classic. To put it short, it's about a story told from three perspectives which are irreconcilable with each other.

EDIT: Whoops, ninja'd, sorry. :)

Thank you very much to the both of you. I will be sure to check all these movies out.

Well, since no one else have come with a title, I hazzard to guess High and Low (Tengoku to Jigoku) by Akira Kurosawa (1963).

If it is not, then at least it is on the list of Kurosawa films you should see.
