Next hint(s), it's a relatively popular adventure game that was ported to (amongst others) Famicom/NES and mobile phones.

Whoa, to begin with I thought it might be either Yes Minister or Yes Prime Minister but those images just kept getting darker and darker!
So no, I now have no idea!
