IGNORE THE TYPO PLEASE! XD

Decided to ask here, since no one's ever visiting the Shogo forums here anymore.
What's this huge coin for? And what's this button for?
Both objects can be found in "Calm before the Storm" after you have been debriefed by Admiral Akkaraju.
See attached image.

Can you actually interact with them? Maybe they're just decoration. The coin at least looks like one.

You can pick up the coin and the button emits a sound when touched.

Don't be, I'm just a cheeky bastard. :)
Go easy Lemon. Just because he isn't a transvestite doesn't make him less sophisticated than us.

Well okay it does, but we must be the better men here and come to pity, not ridicule, those below us.

If it's the size of a small plate, it's probably not legal tender. Don't try to spend it! :P
Seriously, if you hadn't mentioned it was a coin, going by the screenshot, I'd have thought it was a coffee stain or rust spot (or that someone shat on the counter).

Right you are sir! Lucky I didn't say anything about the dirty type...

On topic, it looks a bit like a bass button... or a flattened squeaky turd.

That looks like one of those buttons that need to be pressed every 108 minutes or bad things will happen.
I don't know what that coin does, but the button seems to open a secret door with some body armor in the corridor before the MCA docks, near the open floor grate and those two maintenance guys.

Funnily enough, I have played through Shogo about four times now, and never bothered to look at that part of the level, so this was completely new for me.
