What's a friend?

Terminator 2 The Arcade Game on Sega Something. Lots of fun :-)

A friend showed me Hand of Fate and I immediately wanted to play more, so every time I visited, we would play this game on turns. I'm gonna get it myself pretty soon, probably on the next sale, not the current one.
Backwards, I got This War of Mine and whenever it was my place, we would play This War of Mine on turns, same friend with Hand of Fate.
Also, I have two other friends that visit me once every few months for a full day, and most of the time, when it comes to gaming we play a bunch of 3 local co-op player games (Trine, MK, Jamestown) and at least one single player title on turns (Amnesia, Outlast, Sam & Max, The Walking Dead, Batman: Arkham series, METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE), basically horror, comedy and pure awesomeness.

All sega mega drive games since we all owned that system mostly the game was with one friend super monaco gp and the other friend was Wonder Boy V: In Monster World III

I thought that was a parent.

Man I wish I had a friend who owned a sega mega drive, and had Sonic. I only got to play it once as a kid, for like 5 minutes on some store's demo system while my parents were shopping.

Half-life freaking 2

I don't think there will ever be another game I waited so long for, and was so hyped about for so long. I got to play bits and pieces of it at a friend's house for literally years before I had a computer capable of running it.

Jurassic Park for the Genesis.

We were good mates though.

Battletoads & Double Dragon.
Problem was that he didn't like it that much and wanted to play other games as well while I was just craving to dwelve into this one. It was so fucking great back then. And I didn't even get to visit him that often. Oh the pain.

Later I became that friend for others. I was first to get proper PC and I had the best game created, Heroes of Might and Magic III. Friends and even not-so-much-friends were coming over to our house several times a week, even from other villages, and we spent all afternoon playing hot-seat matches. They often left only when it got dark and had to cycle several kilometers to get home. I can't say I was glad to host them every time (I didn't know nor like much some of them) but I think I never refused and overall I enjoyed it because 1) it is nice to be wanted, if only for material gain and 2) I love that game and always did and every opportunity to play it with real people (and crush them as I could play it solo as well and they couldn't) was welcomed.

Maniac Mansion. My friend had C64 and I had a crappy PC-compatible that couldn't run the DOS version.
