i mean there are a whole lot of strategy/advisories written on how to take advantage of trending hastags for your own advertising.

It seems far fetched to me to construct a narrative that GOG (or CDPR) is trying to promote some transphobic agenda here.
They aren't, and everyone knows they aren't, this is a product of outrage culture that has festered over time. I really think social media needs to go away. It is not good for society. It has literally zero positives that aren't easily accomplished with better freely available tools and tons of negatives.

I'm sure some people are legitimately offended by the tweet and that's unfortunate, but an apology for the offense should be enough.

They could have silently pulled their games, but they didn't. Instead, they wrapped it around their announcement proclaiming how pro-trans they are. It's virtue signaling without a doubt.

Instead you naively equate the term, used correctly to the modern day use of words like "fascist" or "Nazi" when those terms don't meet the actual definition at all and are used as mere buzzwords or insults.
I see there really is no point beleaguering the point with you. I will agree to disagree on this point. I'm not being naive, I just think that it's not constructive to use terms that are intended to be used as insults. Decorum and civility should mean something.

When you and others think they have a right to directly attack other users at the drop of a hat, you and they will deserve their bans. You have no right to harass others and attempt to bully them off these forums.
