Mostly interested in the technicalities.

I vaguely remember GOG being connected to CDPR but the no longer being connected to CDPR and im not sure where we're standing right now.
You'll have to ask the new owner of CDPR. Maybe Tencent will buy them.
We are right here on gog.com or GOG or 909 or Go_G! .....
any other names?

We will continue to use our offline installers forever....

CDPR is pretty busy now. Also, they are a lair of fresh-born studios....

live long CDPR, live long GOG
bloody pirates : )

I was born in Wrocław lol they will be just fine, lads from Techland will be good too ^°

CD Projekt Red is a healthy company. GOG is a subsidiary of and 100% owned by CDPR.

Actually it's just "CDP" (short for CD Projekt Group), if I remember correctly.
CDPR (short for CD Projekt RED) and GOG are subsidiaries of CDP.

Nope.

CD Projekt group owns both CD Projekt Red and GOG. While improbable, it is possible for CD Projekt Red to be shuttered and CD Projekt and GOG to keep going.
Back when their stock value was really crashing, I told you to buy CDPR stock.

I told you to buy CDPR stock now, they just needed to announce a new Witcher and wooohooo.

But did you listen? Noooo.
If CDPR goes under so will GOG. Compared to CDPR GOG is barely profitable. You can find all the numbers here. For example in the first 3 quarters of 2024 (complete results for 2024 won't be out for another month) GOG made $8.000 profit and the years before weren't much better.

No, just the monthly doomposting
What will happen is what happens to every other company that has financial trouble. They will declare bankruptcy or get bought by another company. You should ask the same question to valve...At least on GOG if people backup their games they get to keep them.
It will be eaten by giant mutant soviet chickens.
Until the release of The Witcher 4 you can sleep well, the 30% of margin is well enough to keep up the store for CDP.
Two possibilities (which both really amount only to the second):
1. They get sold.
2. They join CDPR in going under.
