At this point the music would start playing on its own in my head whenever a battle sequence starts. ;)

muddysneakers: Sounds like my 25ish year old speakers finally died. So what GOG games can I play without sound until I buy some new speakers? I'm looking for things without spoken dialogue, many sound effects, or background music. I'm thinking maybe some VNs, maybe some platformers or puzzles games, old adventure games or RPGs, maybe the Spiderweb RPGs. As I look through my list of games the only thing that really jumps out at me is the Incredible Machine series.
Dance Dance Revolution! [/joking]
Probably any game that isn't a music game and that doesn't have significant accessibilities. (I consider spoken dialog without subtitles to be an accessibility issue.)

Unfortunately, there is one Pokemon game (or generation) where, at one point, the game plays a sound and asks you what it is. (I read about this on twitter, but as I haven't kept up with the series, I don't know which game it is, but it definitely isn't gen 1 or 2.)

The lack of background music is generally not an issue that will make a game unplayable. (Sound effects, on the other hand, can be an issue if the game uses them as cues and doesn't provide a visual equivalent.)

Also, Might and Magic 1 and 2. At least in MM2, you don't want the sound effects on because they slow down combat and are awful. 3 can work, but the Xeen series unfortunately has non-subtitled dialog when you enter certain areas that require keys or other items.

A good number of fighting games. The modern ones often have the option to turn on subtitles so even those could be played without sound.

I was going to joke and say Enemy Zero but thought better of it.
- Probably most pinball games
- King of Dragon Pass (old version anyway, and probably the newer mobile-->PC port); presumably its follow-up, Six Ages, as well
- Spelunky
- The two main-line Mount & Blade games, more or less (probably many expansions, mods & "spin-offs", as well)
- Predynastic Egypt (AFAICR)
- Rebuild 3
- Banished
- Mini Metro
- Cook, Serve, Delicious! (no clue about the sequel)
- both Hotline Miami games (AFAICR)

Aside from one or two Roguelikes already mentioned by others, there are many available outside GOG (many for free) which also have minimal or no sound effects & music, and these features are often not integral in this genre even when they are present.
I'd recommend trying out Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup. Besides being a very good Roguelike, it also has no audio.

Themken: Are you sure your loudspeakers are broken and you do not just need to fix bad contacts? Maybe resoldering in your amplifier? Maybe removing oxide on your cables or loudspeakers' contacts? Simply removing and reinserting and tightening the screws just fixed the crackling in my loudspeakers. Modern solder does not last long at all so more likely your amplifier needs resoldering or replacing.
Yes they very likely could be fixed but not likely by me.
This reminds me that when I was 10, I frequently played Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow with the sound muted and music playing. I already wasn’t great at the game, and not having any audio cues made things even more difficult.

So my not-so-helpful contribution to this topic is that stealth games probably aren’t good choices for soundless playing.
Almost all of them.

Loom is an adventure relying on music to solve puzzles? At least that's what I heard (heh) So I'd stay away
Doom 3, older version had no subtitles in emails. So without codes can't get secrets. I don't know if Doom3 BFG edition have subtitles, likely not.
Tales of Monkey Island, which isn't in gog anymore, have an audio puzzle on the 1st island. You might have to look up online solution.
I've got one!

Always Sometimes Monsters

It's a unique kind of RPG. It takes place fully in an urban landscape. You do quests and even some stardew valley-style fishing. After the intro, you pick your character (male/female) and then your love interest (this is a major part of the main storyline. Can't talk much without spoiling).

Sound is not needed to do anything. The reason why I know this, is because I found the music somewhat grating after awhile, and there is no way to turn it off except tuning out your computer's sound. Or perhaps there might be a solution to shuttling the music, but I'm ignorant about it.

However, the end result is that you can truly play the game without sound. :)

Ohh really I never heard about something in a pokemon game haha that's weird xD it's probably in the games that come out on the 3ds, I played the gba and nds games and I don't remember anything like that ^^

Of course, there's also Banjo-Kazooie, which also have a part where you need to identify a sound. It is possible to get past that without sound, since it's multiple choice and an incorrect choice (usually) isn't an instant failure, but it really isn't ideal. (See what happens in speedruns, where it's a different category that you have to guess.) Again, putting those questions in is an accessibility issue here.
