koima57: emulation is mostly correct.
dtgreene: Could you elaborate on what you mean by "mostly"? In particular, what innacuracies have you noticed?
(My next use of PCSX2 is probably going to be a replay of either Metal Saga (no relation to the SaGa series) or the Romancing SaGa remake (yes relation to the SaGa series), though I don't know when that will be.
Sure, every game has a Wiki page on the PCSX2 website with their own issues and possible fixes, the emulator is in good state for most popular games but definitely not on par with the Dolphin one, still making progress over years.
For this particular game there are colored lines on the screen borders, no framedrop but frame timing seems often off with stuttering scrolling and lag in controls but probably this "tales of" game own issue, the sky in open field battles has a garbled part and the character portraits are stuck in blury low-res. Recent daily builds gives me random error reading memory card like it's empty or not formatted, but it work after a second or third try.
Testing (well, playing ^^) this with every now and then daily builds and OpenGL hardware emulation, only forced widescreen + max resolution in settings changed from default. There is also Direct3D 11 support but I haven't tried it to comment.
I have yet to find a pleasing way to play through Fatal Frame 3 last time i've tried the image was extremely washed out in brigthness.
However most issues are on per-game basis, should and likely are related to hardware emulation, software mode seems perfect though little options for enhanced quality over native.
