Going everywhere and nowhere....

finished a playthrough of stellaris last week. in short a very satisfying tranquil experience on easy iron man mode. Base building governing and most of all getting aquinted with all options this game has to offer. Once your intergalactic empire really sets off there is an amazing amount of custimization available for ones who want to really dig into the experience. From creating an elite world in your egalitarion society to genemodifaction of the races that belong to your empire, quite the grand 4x thing with still a few questionable designchoices ( you can build a metal place for people to live but you can't terraform mars or static fleet combat which does feel odd to say the least ) left....

This month's focus will lie for me on the following games

Total War Warhammer 2 Mortal Empires High Elf Tecliss normal/normal campaign
Need for Speed: Payback
Anno 2205 complete edition normal difficulty
Battle Star Galactica Deadlock, season one complete, first campaign, easy, damage and experience
Order of Battle Blitzkrieg Major difficulty

Resident Evil 5

I've been playing this for a while, but since today random internet strangers are joining my game. Is there any way you can block them? Does the game (Steam) still work if you block it in the firewall?
Whatever... I'm just going to install my "DRM free backup copy".

I'm glad I didn't pay more than 2 euro for it (my "DRM penalty", and only for a select few games... the rest gets zero Krugerrands).

edit: Update: The Steam save doesn't work in the "backup". Blocking the (Steam) re5 exe in the firewall didn't work either. I guess I'll just have to disable my network adapter. Who does that? Joining a stranger's game?

StingingVelvet: After finishing Pathfinder: Kingmaker I started a replay of Dragon Age 2. First time since the last DLC came out I believe. So far it's pretty much what I remember... flawed combat, repetitive areas, but good story and setting. Shame it didn't all come together, but I think it's better than people act like it is. Even the combat can be fun if you keep it at normal difficulty and just bash through the silly waves of enemies.

Trying to finish Halo's PC remaster before 2 releases but the later flood levels really are terrible.
Yeah, I liked DA2 - even despite its laundry list of flaws. The story and characters were great - but the loss of the tactical cam & lowering of the max amount the cam can be zoomed-out; weaker customization of party members and their equipment; and ESPECIALLY the recycled environments.

If there's one game I'd love to be remastered b/c I think it could be immensely improved upon - actually, DA2 is definitely one I'd like to see. Putting the tac-cam back, zoom-out distances, better customization, all the recycled environments redone, and more new content added would be great.

I really liked the first half of Halo 1, back when I played it; the first half was great. But yeah, the game kind of gets repetitive, redundant, and recycled floors/environments with the Monitor levels and The Flood was a pain to battle; and there's a bunch of back-tracking in the back parts of the game. Ran out of steam, by the end.

I do need to get to Halo 2 Remastered, since it's in the MCC...and I am part of the XBox for PC Game Pass.
I'm finishing up Trails in the Sky FC. Been really enjoying it and was pleasantly surprised at how long the game is.
Almost done with Wasteland 2 and currently going through the Darkest Dungeon.
25 hours or so into XCOM: Chimera Squad [Steam].

I wish it was more mod friendly, because I bet the community would have made a great fan patch for it. Vary up the caves more, remove the waves of enemies and up their health and damage instead, maybe modify the city more in later acts. If it was a Skyrim engine type game it would probably have been improved greatly by now. Oh well.

Yeah, ain't a ton of DA2 mods. Is that b/c the game wasn't that loved? Or b/c the DAO engine was modified so much, nobody really went to town on modding? Or...a combo of both?

I think DAO was much heavily more modded than DA2.

I would have loved to see more modding, fixing, remastering, more content, and whatnot for DA2. DA2 is a diamond in the rough.
Not exactly "playing" the game itself....
I was just watching a new trailer of Mortal Kombat 11 with their latest characters: Terminator / Robocop.
I'd love to try that out! I'm just going to wait until I can buy some 2€ key for the whole package somewhere. (because: DRM & the fact that I actually rarely play those kind of games)
Zombie Army 4: Dead War - Stadia

Fun co-op game. Been playing this one a lot with my friends.

Skullgirls - Steam

With EVO 2020 news about this gem being 1 of the 4 open online tournaments, it got me playing this one again. My kids love this game and have never stopped playing it online so it's been good for them to tech me some of the combos strings they've learned.

Mortal Kombat 11 - Stadia

Been playing this one for awhile now with my wife (locally) and brother (online). Another game is also on the EVO 2020 open online tournaments. Also looking forward to the new update on May 26.

Mortal Kombat 4 - GOG

Did not play this one enough when it was out on the arcade and so my wife and I have been enjoying it a lot. I've even setup some Parsec online matches with friends and family.

Streets of Rage 4 - GOG

This game is GOLD in this house. Everyone has been getting their hands dirty with combos in co-op and VS. I've also did some great online matches via of Parsec.

Tekken 7 - Steam

Been going online with this one with some friends. Still learning Geese Howard and Katrina. I'm pretty good with Akuma and Miguel.

I played Streets or Rage 4 when it launched on XB for PC Game Pass. Man, I was a surprised; that game was fantastic.

Tekken 7 is really good. I wish the Season Passes and/or Complete Edition would get cheaper.

I've also been playing Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary on Steam - and that's been a blast. Checked out some SSF2T, which was crushing me. Played some SF3: 3rd Strike and SFA2 and SFA3, which are also really good.

Right now I'm playing Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason, one of the first games I bought here on GOG. I'm still early in the game. I'm deliberately using Shader 4.0 and Nvidia Physx enabled, makes the game run like garbage at times but it looks very cool.

The Tekken 7 that I got was from the recent sale at Indie Gala which was the base game + season 1 and 2 for $20 ish. DLC 10 and up will have to wait for another super sale. I don't play this game online outside of Steam Remote Play with family and locally with friends and family so it's all good on waiting.

I got the Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary on Steam when it was free but most of ppl I know that play use Fightcade or the SFA2 version on GOG via of Parsec.

I'm more of SNK fan but I do love SF from Alpha to IV.
