Still playing No Man's Sky. Updated to 1.60 just a couple nights ago, abandoned my 300 hours Normal game, and started a Permadeath run. At the time of this posting, starting my 6th attempt to survive past the first star system. :P
Motherfucking bullshit game design. So I'm in one of the last big battles in PoP: Sands of Time, and the never-ending onslaught of sand demons is just pure shit design especially since it's easy to get surrounded without ability to move around or worse yet Farah gets ganged up on ... and while trying to protect her it's easy to kill her instead - why, yes, friendly damage is like totally the best idea ever! - due to some of the worst auto focus. Whoever designed this arena fight needs to be fucking smacked. GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

Once you quit, It'll be 1.61.

I only recently (re)started my own NEXT game. But on "meditative" normal. I now have a base and a freighter (how that is now...) and the "The quest" has just started...

REALLY have to fire this one up again. Played a bit on release, think I got distracted by something new and shiny (or maybe my GPU blew around the same time and I never fired it back up again?). Regardless, there have been some HUGE changes and I always wanted to give the original more time and that was BEFORE the whole new feature set was implemented.

Shut up and enjoy the MUSIC.
I got a RTS itch (which almost made me re-install Warcraft 3 or the Command&Conquer series), so I decided to FINALLY try out the Homeworld series. I installed the GOG version, playing Homeworld Classic for now since I am not sure if the Remastered is better or worse.

I've finished the tutorial and a bit of the first mission. Not much to say yet, except:

- The controls seem a bit... complicated? Maybe I will get used to it, but simply trying to navigate towards the enemies at the end of the tutorial mission seemed awkward, and I had to try several times before i could even get them to the firing distance and engage the enemy. The whole "navigate in 3D with the Ctrl-button" (or was it Shift, I don't recall) seems odd, and it was quite hard to tell in the sensor view how to get your ships to the enemy.

- At some points the game runs a bit jerkily, like 15-20 fps? Yet, the graphics are quite simple (I was running it in 1024x768)? Is this normal, some compatibility issue with newer GPUs and drivers? I guess it is still playable, but I was expecting it to run fully smoothly all the time, considering the age. EDIT: Or maybe it is running at locked 30 fps and you see little jerkiness when the ships are moving fast...?

The jury is still out on this, but I was hoping it wouldn't have such learning curve with controls etc. This does feel quite different from playing Starcraft or Total Annihilation. :)

EDIT: I quite like the soothing, eerie and slow music during the missions, fits the atmosphere perfectly.

After playing 47 hours of Shadowrun: Dragonfall I thought I wouldn’t play another huge game again, but then I felt the need to throw more spells and gather more loot, so I installed The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut. Initial impressions is that it’s got a lot of things going for it, but the opaque minimap in the top right corner is bothersome. You can’t zoom out enough to make it a non-issue, can’t move the camera and early in the game the roads are so narrow and designed in such a way that the minimap blocks as much as it possibly can. Enemies attack in hordes and I don’t have many fun skills yet, so it’s not very fun to kill them, but thankfully your constant NPC companion gets their attention and kills several of them (might adjust the settings so she is less of an enemy beacon later on).

So many modern games would become better with God Mode. So many tedious and plain bad game mechanics could become bearable with God Mode. I try to find mods to iron out tedious things, but that's not always possible.

The tutorial for Crookz was WAAAAY more extensive than it needed to be.

It gives you ten steps for something that in game will take one step. :P I hope this doesn't turn off any perspective players.

I would never touch a game named "Crookz"...

it's not bad. A Commandos clone.
Great style, for anyone with an interest in the 70's. :P

Lots of Bell bottoms. Lots of lava lamps. Lots of "wakka-chi-wakka".

Started Darksiders 1 yesterday. Also keep playing UT3 on and off with some Sacred 2 sprinkled in for good measure (damn that game is time consuming...).
Darkwood and I'm having a blast with it. Incredibly creepy and tense at all turns because of how easy it is to die at the hands of the woods' nightmarish creatures. No permadeath though, unless you want to play on higher than default difficulty, which I definitely wouldn't recommend for a first playthrough. At the default setting, if you die, you just drop around half your items.

It kind of reminds me of Sunless Sea in terms of atmosphere, except without the same writing scope, and with actual good combat mechanics. It's possible to dance around the enemies, but I'm finding it very tricky, especially since in a lot of cases there isn't a lot of room to maneuver.
I picked up Pillars of Eternity during the sale yesterday and I LOVE IT!! I feel like I've been cheating myself by waiting so long to finally play it. Haven't gotten far, but I'm loving everything about it. Especially the storytelling.

It really takes me back to those nostalgic days of being led through the darkness and danger by a Dungeon Master. All the feels!! <3 <3
LOVING Crookz, but I don't know for how long.

Almost got destroyed by a two star level, which is supposed to be "easy".
Slay the Spire - So far I've Ascended once with each character. I really loose time with this game - I'll start playing around 10pm then after a couple of runs later I'll look at the clock and it reads 4am, then I'll try to go to bed only to be thinking of the game... This has happen several times already! Reminds me of when I played Civilization games - Just One More Turn!

Planescape Torment - I bought it during the sale going on right now; I played the cd version years ago, got around half way through back then and a bit after I reformatted my computer only to remember I lost my saves and gave up replaying it. Now that I forgot most parts of the game (even most of the ending that was spoiled via youtube) I've decided to play it again, this time the enhanced edition from here(mainly because I don't want to bother to mod things and use wine prefixes and whatnot with the cd version). So far I've been enjoying the game and it doesn't seem to be much of a repeat so far. Going to try to play as a mage and get "good" at the combat this time around(all I remember was I hated the combat). The only problem I had with the "Enhanced Edition" was having to manually install a back ported out of date openssl library; inside the game half the "Enhanced" features I ended up turning off.

Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West - Got it in a giveaway here on gog; Played a few minutes of the game, the combat seems pretty good though the only thing I can play on linux is the tutorial mode with bots, the server browser/quick match options automatically hard crashes the game. Going to try and play it on Windows 10 at some point to see if anybody still plays it online(I heard there's not many people)

Darkest Dungeon - Did a few (more) dungeon runs lately, this game really is starting to feel slow and even a *bit* outdated when compared to Slay the Spire - granted they're not the same game; just a similar style of gameplay.
