Gerald's Game is on TV over here.
Just completed another "campaign" of Age of Wonders III, had lots of fun. Definitely plan on playing more.

pmcollectorboy: Mmm... kicking ass in my Tennhausen in Rebel Galaxy. Militia. Red Devil. Outsiders. Bring them all on.
LOL that's great. I remember when I picked up the Tennhausen and felt the same way. All of a sudden I had this monster that could just stomp its way across the galaxy.

It's actually one of the better "gaming moments" I've had. All of a sudden I was able to pony up for this beast that had a huge tangible feel of awesomeness and major impact on how the game felt. Nice. No "Sword of +.03 % damage soak" - this thing let you KNOW it was a badass cap ship.

The thing even sounded awesome when you throttled it up. Now I want to play Rebel Galaxy damnit ;)

I realize more powerful monstrosities of ships exist in the game. Eventually I plan on figuring out which of the game's three dreadnaughts fits me, but most of the gameplay videos I've seen of them basically boiled down to "park your hide in the thick of it and watch stuff die around you". The Tennhausen is probably the player's first true taste of power, but you still had to be careful of that power and use pilot skills to dance around the enemy. It had the speed and manueverability to give you that ability to circle around the enemy, yet it had the armor to slug its way out of a tight spot into a better corner of the fight and survive. I only have Mk 3 stuff, and this damn thing is making me survive all out brawls that would see me turn into space dust a few days ago.
I tend to play a few games of Zen Pinball on my phone whenever there's a wrestling match I'm not really into.
Fallout 1. Two hours in and I'm richest man wasteland ever seen.
Prey (2017). I love games like this. Kinda like Bioshock 1 and other games like it.

Van Helsing II: The Helsening

Pretty good, not fantastic. Could maybe use a touch of optimization since there have been a couple instances where it had my laptop fans screaming, even with detail turned down to Medium. This is on a 1070 in a roomy chassis. Only game so far where this has happened, as I recall.

The voice acting for the main characters is good. The side characters, eh, well, you can click through once you've read the subtitles.

Loot progression feels slower than the first game, though you're given more opportunities to obtain loot. This doesn't seem like a problem since you can upgrade your equipment with inserts ("essences").

A little irritated from last night: went to a merchant, and grabbed a healing potion from his trade window and dragged it to Katarina's inventory. Turns out I bought a stack of 1,000(!) of them. That about wiped out my money so I dragged them back to the merchant window. Cheap ass merchant only gave me the wholesale price in return, even though I was in the same trading session. Lost something like 80k-100k on that "deal". Lesson learned, but I hope they changed this behavior in later versions.

Been bug-free, so there's that going for it. And it's certainly a good-looking game.
Tales of Maj'eyal
Had a nice Halfling Shadowblade at lvl. 14 and stupidly lost him in the sands. I could have teleported him and I don't know why I didn't. Grrrah

It looks like I am always playing Mount & Blade. On the side I am playing Strategic Command: European Theater every now and then. The latter does not seem to offer a lot of longevity if I stick to single player but not all games have to last for thousands of hours.

LOL some of my "favorite" moments in roguelikes or games with odd save structures. Staring slackjawed at the screen saying to myself:

"Why the fuck did I just do that? Why didn't I just save / drink the potion / use that spell? What the hell."
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire whenever I happen to arse.

Otherwise it's mixture of Battlerite/RS6-Siege mostly.
Black Desert Online
Just returned recently. A new class came out, Lahn and made one during the pre-create event. Now playing it and aiming to get it to level 56, before the event is over. You get some nice rewards when levelling your lahn.
Have to say that much has changed since i returned. Voices changed, some quests were removed. Kamasilve finally out and a bunch of new players around. Guilds seems to decrease though. Some older ones have taken an other role and some are also completely gone.

Next to BDO i'm playing some Crusader Kings II and also Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third and sometimes Saints Row IV as well.
Rediscovering Borderlands after many, many years. Damn I'm lost. No idea what I was doing, no idea of how this stuff works.

But okay, it's not a game that very insistently requires you to know what you're doing or what's going on. So. Boom.
