Themken: Trying to learn my way around in Knights of Honor, an RTS. Currently on sale on Steam and for some reason NOT for sale here on GOG :-( I still have not made out where the head or the tail is.

tinyE: Hey, that looks pretty nice.
I bought it from gamersgate.com some time ago, also DRM-free, but I can't find it for sale in the store. Maybe they removed it. It is still in my gamersgate library. Nice game.

I alternagte between finishing up Rise of the Tomb Raider and playing Saints Row: The Third.
FINALLY The Witcher 3! I've been slowly upgrading my old computer and last night I fired this one up for the first time (picked up the GOTY during Summer Sale). Didn't put in too much time but the game seems excellent. The combat is different from the second game - feels a bit more fluid and dynamic - not sure I'm sold on it just yet but I think it's probably just me getting used to it.

Also - WHY DOES THIS GAME RUN BUTTERY SMOOTH???

I swear I've been playing older games and they've been running hotter and louder than W3. Is it purely optimization? Better driver support for a new, highly popular game? Better multicore use? I think both Witcher 2 and Arcania "taxed" my CPU more (had it running hotter). What's up with that?

GR00T: Currently alternating between Sokobond and Age of Decadence. Wonderful games, both.
I really enjoyed Age of Decadence. Very fun, deep combat system that actually *felt* like what I imagine small scale brawls to be like (almost every combat seemed like it could have been a turnbased scene from Gladiator or Game of Thrones). I really have to go back and play it again - at one point I took a quick peek at spoilers and it's AMAZING how much of the game alters based on character builds.

I ignored advice and took a "hybrid" character first go around - fairly strong combat guy with some decent social skills. I was happy with how he turned out but knowing what I know now I really need to try a totally different build and see what happens...

I love that game. It's probably the best lucha libre game ever made, even though it's not a "true" wrestling game.
Might and Magic VI, and loving every minute of it. One of the best rpgs of the 90s.

Same here - doing an Assassin build (but I tend to go for that type of character first, if available). Going to try a merchant or lore master after this and probably give a straight up warrior a try as well.
The Baldur's Gate Saga - currently playing Shadows of Amn after importing my first BG1 character (using the "Enhanced Editions", but disabled all the yucky UI stuff).

I've forgotten what it's like to be this addicted to an RPG.
After almost 15 years Diablo2: Lord of Destruction landed on my hard drive.
No mods (still waiting for full release of Le Royaume des Ombres), only latest patch.
Surprised that game is far easier than I remember. Still need to reach Duriel tho (his freezing is a pain in the a-cheeks). I remember my struggling playthrough with Barb last time, after release of LoD. I was bad at games, like really bad, yet still play and finish them.

The Witcher 3 - got to swim to the Isle of the Mist (Ciri!) but gave a shot to the add-ons (made few for Heart of Stone, then will go with B&W). Currently walking with 40k gold, already being assaulted by taxman (worst monster in the game).

Durial is the hardest boss of any game anywhere. It's not so much the freezing, it's that you have nowhere to run. The other bosses, you can at least back off for a second. With her your always within her attack range.
Just started the new DLC of Darkest Dungeon The Crimson Court.
I thought that things would change since the last time I played this game, but nope, still hard and sometimes annoying AF. If this keeps going on, I think I will just move on, playing other games without any hope of finishing that game.

I still have not bought the DLC although I was planning to buy it at day one. The delay of the GOG release saved me.

I'll wait till the patch marathon has died down and the DLC's mechanics are balanced and bug free. IMO you should put the game aside, give it some time and then try again.
Warlords Battlecry 3-The Protectors free standalone mod mostly. Kinda like AOE series but a lot of other features as well. Small but active MP community on discord for it, and continuing mod development for version 8.8. Current version is 8.7. Also tried out Disciples 2 yesterday. Kinda plays like Total wear campaign with turn based tactical combat. Very slow paced, very tactical. Took me forever just to beat first campaign map. Wasn't much unit diversity and stuff, at least no early on.
I haven't played a video game since Dragon Age: Awakening but I just installed Gog Galaxy and downloaded Sam and Max Hit the Road, plus I bought Rayman Origins. Hopefully one of these two hits the sweet spot of gaming need I have right now while also working on my ancient desktop (GTX 480 and Intel Q9550).
VELVET LIVES!
