I'm gonna try and finish Darksiders 2, so I can put another game on the "completed" list. That's not to say that Darksiders 2 isn't enjoyable, it's a hell of a lot better than Darksiders 1, although I still get annoyed by some platforming puzzles and boss mechanics. The platforming is much better, but I have had to look up how to beat the bosses. Unlike with Darksiders 1, I might actually want to replay Darksiders 2, but it will still feel good when it's completed.

It's probably best played at a few hours at a time, since you're mostly doing the same thing. You're told to find person A who can help you find location B, but first you need go through lots of terrain, enemies and platforming (maybe even a boss) and when you finally reach person A, you have to help him by doing quest C before he'll take you to location B and so on. It's like a checklist that keeps on branching. I also don't like that there are areas you can't reach initially, that annoys my completionist nature. You see that there is a treasure chest located behind an obstacle, but you have to revisit that area after getting a specific ability to get to it (enemies may or may not respawn on revisit).
Running starbound so far... loving the views.. and the music...

Wanna get going on Dwarf Fortress, heard plenty of "good" things about it
I played Moonbase Commander today.

It's a very nice game, especially for LAN-Parties. Back in the days almost nobody played it, although it had good ratings from game magazines. It's a bit like Worms from a topdown view.
I'm still very deep into my play of Mass Effect Andromeda.

Man, after I beat back the Kett I'm going to retire as a rich-ass mofo, and that's just from selling tons of salvage. Yeah, there's as good as nothing I want or need to buy. The most I spent on so far are the ship models and Nomad paint jobs. Everything else I got either through item pick-ups or research & development.

I'm about 66 hours in, and I spent a lot of it on side stuff. I actually enjoy doing that, and once I figured out that there's little point of doing much of anything else planet-side than racing from one quest marker to the next it cut out the initial tedium I experienced. I ignore most outcast/scavenger/remnant fight points, or whatever you want to call them, because there's little to no pay-off for them; they're nothing but time wasters. There are some very nice vistas to behold in between though.

Overall, MEA performs pretty solidly for such a sprawling game. It all runs pretty smoothly with only the very rare load stutter on my good ole mechanical HDD. I only had one random crash that happened on my first day of playing and not since, and I had to restart one combat section because the game was acting like I was still fighting after I killed everything. Yeah, there are some rough edges here and there, but they can be very easy to overlook/get used to. In fact, some of them I find quite amusing. Some people act like the original MEs were perfect, but that ain't true. They also have some odd jankiness to them, and I enjoyed them just the same.

The only sore point I have right now is that Cora's loyalty mission line bugged out. Apparently, there's a point where you shouldn't snipe the bad guys as that breaks the mission script, which seems to affect all platform versions of the game (PC, XBone, PS4), making it impossible to scan an item to complete the quest. Since it affects the search for the Asari ark I would deem it to be fairly important even if it is technically a side-quest. I hope they'll have that fixed with the first patch whenever that'll arrive.

All in all though, I really don't get the dislike some people like to pile on the game. It's not perfect by a long shot, but I'm having a lot of fun. I wouldn't have spent 66 hours within 6 days on it otherwise - thank god I'm on spring break. ;) It's just more Mass Effect on a bigger scale, and that's really all I wanted out of it. Mission accomplished.

Well, now that I pretty much 100%-ed all of the settlement planets, it's time for me to pick up with the main quest line again.

My daughters are playing it on the PS4 and having a good time with it, although one of them has had a bunch of odd glitches on her run. Things like companions becoming randomly invisible, terrain disappearing, dead guys floating in air, etc. Nothing that's actually broken the game though. I think one of them had a similar issue with the quest you mentioned as well.

I finished the game at 61hour mark and had 97% overall progression(only some tasks and maybe too hidden side quest left to do) and was pretty solid experience with only 1 quest "bugged" at kett base in which you had to scan/destroy 3 consoles and then enter a room to acquare an item. But if you clear the base 1st you cant open the door but you still can enter through a window(complete the main objective but cant complete the optional).

Animations was bad + SAM being annoying with his repetetive "temp is fine" "you can mine here" which could easily interrupt squadmates chatter. Apart from that I really enjoyed the game. https://gfycat.com/ZigzagKlutzyIvorybackedwoodswallow - the most buggy part for me in those 61 hours.. now playing mainly the MP and is fun as much as ME3 Mp.

GR00T: ...one of them has had a bunch of odd glitches on her run...
Oh, there definitely be glitches. Amusing glitches. Like sometimes when I leave the nomad I see one of my squadmates fall from the sky a hundred feet behind me, there've been 2 or 3 extras whose textures apparently didn't load so I see their skin only as their black base models, characters I just had a conversation with magically zoom/hover over to the other side of the room at breakneck speed. Or the latest one, I'm on board the Tempest last night talking to my crew, and Ryder's voice sounds like he's wearing a helmet.

As you said, none of it's game-breaking, but MEA probably could have used a bit more spit polish. Yet I do find them entertaining. *shrug* I'd assume the console versions tend to be a bit buggier.

Neat. Heh. Yesterday, I was in a vault and managed to fall off a precipice. Normally it just respawns me back on top, and that's it. Amusingly, that time I respawned in my Nomad. Sadly, I couldn't drive it anywhere as it was sitting on a narrow ledge.

Yeah, SAM can get a bit annoying. He's MEA's Navi. ;)

Yeah, I'm about due for Starbounding myself, been trying to hold out until mechs are released Soon™ish

Here: You Dwarf NOW

I never would have guessed before playing DF that my favorite genre of game is: emergent narrative generator.

Been playing GRAV with the significant other. Lots of fun is being had despite it's obvious incomplete state. Mind you I play A LOT of Space-y Survival-em-ups and I am still surprised and delighted by what on offer! Gonna go play some more right now!

EDIT
Oh, in case you find yourself enamored with DFs adventure mode; direct your peepers onto ! If you'd like to try before you buy, you can download the whole game for free (or donation :) ) [url=http://unrealworld.fi/]on their website. I would strongly encourage you to throw your money at them if you like the game though :D

Some Titan Quest. I love how detailed the world is, which imo is easily worth the price of not having randomly generated levels. Path of Exile which I checked out some days ago has better graphics and fighting, but its world looks plain compared to Titan Quest. On the minus side, Titan Quest is very long, almost too long. The time it took me to finish the first Act (of 5?) would easily have been enough to either finish or get deep into the 2nd act of Diablo 2.

https://gfycat.com/ImpureAllDodobird I know that feeling.. I just dont find it amusing as the one I posted earlier. But yeah, game has it rough edges and wacky ragdoll physics(you can send enemies flying depending on how you try to run them over).

Haven't heard any on mechs besides mods (links for official CF mech releases would be nice, wanna see what they do)

Yea tho, if you really dig space survival, Starbound will knock your socks off, plenty to explore and find. I've spent about a week (cumulative time in game) on it, and there's STILL things to find.

Oh no, I've been playing Starbound since it first was released into Early Access back in like... 2012? Yeah, it's one of the rare games I go back to. According to Steam, I've logged about a thousand hours between the stable and unstable branches.
