jefequeso: Finally playing Metro 2033 (on Ranger Hardcore Mode, of course :D). Am struck by how freaking beautiful the game is.
Finished it two weeks ago (on Ranger Mode Hardcore of course!), and it was pretty awesome indeed. Soon I'll play it again for the 25 achievements left, including Survivor, finishing the game on R.M. Easy -- seriously devs?

They don't have one for finishing it on RM Hardcore?

Bibora: Finally finished Mass Effect 3, all 3 games done this year. Was a VERY good run! Still am tempted on going over it all again :p

Nah, maybe in the future. Probably was thinking going to The Witcher. Is it a good choice?
Extremely good choice. Last month I started a second playthrough of TW1, now I'm halfway through TW2, 80 hours of playing and counting. Both games have some the best graphics and art style I've ever encountered, not mentioning the dialogues and gameplay. One thing though: the story's pretty damn complicated, difficult to follow at times.

EDIT: And apart from The Witcher 2, these days I like playing Rock of Ages (NOT the Tom Cruise movie, check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwGeq-CMf4w) and Black Mesa, also Botanicula with my girlfriend.

I just upgraded my graphics card (had a pretty outdated one), so I've gotten back in to Skyrim with a good handful of cool mods. I'm also playing Kingdoms of Amalur, but the fun factor seems to be diminishing fast... once I unlocked my top tier mage spells, just about any group of enemies would be wiped out with one meteor shower. It wasn't my amazing skills, as I am somewhat lacking in the amazing skills department, but it just got too easy.

To The Moon as well, which I think is fantastic. Dear Esther, Guild Wars 2, and The Witcher as well.

Yes there is an achievement for the ranger hardcore, the problem is that finishing the game on ranger hardcore doesn't give you the ranger easy achiev. And I really wanted to play with some kind of HUD this time lol.
Final Fantasy 3 on the PSP (imported from Japan on UMD!), Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz on the Vita, still chopping away at GTA 4 on the PC and now really getting into Bang Bang Racing (a cheapy isometric racer with surprisingly good production values).

I'm liking the HUDlessness so far. And I'm REALLY liking how limited your ammunition is.

Still not convinced by some survival elements, though. The gasmask system, for instance, just seems like window dressing. But I'm less than 2 hours in, so we'll see.
After having a nice (and fast!) time with the Blackwell Series I'm trying with the first Assassin's Creed. After that the Witcher will follow, probably.
I was working my way through my Interplay games, but I hit Lionheart and I lost steam. I didn't like it much. I wanted to play something else with a bit more... action, I guess. So I decided to play all of the Halo games I own. I am starting Halo 2 tonight (after only having spent two nights on the first one). I'm also playing a bit of Die by the Sword.
I picked up Faerie Solitaire when it was free a couple days ago and thought "What the hell. I'll give it a shot". Ye gods, now I'm hooked on the bloody thing.

The gasmask is quite annoying because the filter system is buggy, or just that bad. Basically, for some reason, you can't always pick all the filters you find on the map, you better buy them in the markets since they are cheap anyway.

The fact that you find a very ammount of ammo on the levels is nice, but if you (like me) are playing in the stealth way, you'll find yourself on the last mission having 500 military grade ammo or so. I mean, throwing knives for the win!

I've only been through the very first human/human firefight, and I found the stealth to be brutally unforgiving. And once you're seen, the enemies seem to develop super senses and can see you even if you're completely hidden in the dark. At least it seems that way. I did rather like how tense the fight ended up being, though. Limited ammo + only a few bullets need to kill you or NPCs = super fun times.

It's still going to take a lot to get me past my distaste for scripted linearity, though. And I'm not sure I'm happy with the fact that you're with another person all the time either. But again, only 2 hours in. So I'm witholding judgement as of yet.
Well, gotten through my first game of Defender's Quest with most stages perfected on Extreme in just under 32 hours. I think I'll give it a little rest until I start NG+.

Given up on Gabriel Knight again - how many times was that again now? It's really strange. I want to play through it, but after a while I just tend to lose complete interest in the game. I really don't know why, especially seeing how much I like adventure games.

Oh well, it's off to playing Deponia 2 then. :)
At the moment Rise of Legends Gold has risen to my primary game. It feels like Age of Empires on steroids, more of anything (which is not always a good thing, like... who needs five or six different resources to gather? Or three times as many technological branches and stuff?

But still feels a good and solid historical RTS, AOE style. The tutorial was a bit odd because the very first tutorial mission is quite overwhelming and big. Way to introduce the game to a total beginner. :) It would make sense for beginners to start from the second tutorial mission, and try the first one the last.

Currently I'm still stuck to the very first mission after the tutorial. Picking blood from my nose by deciding to play it on the hardest difficulty, and boy does it show.

I really love it how the developers of RoN haven't gone the Blizzard way, and don't use game speed as a way to make the game harder like Blizzard does. You can always slow the game down to snail's pace, and it still feels quite hard.

What I don't like though is that apparently the scenarios generally have time limits? I don't mind some times missions, but not most of the time. Nothing pisses me off more than having to replay a whole lengthy mission from the start just because you realize very late you were acting too slowly to fulfill the mission objectives in time.

Apparently there are some ways to remove the generic time limits though (editing conquestrules.xml in the data directory). Maybe I'll try them, even if it can be considered as cheating. EDIT: On a second thought, maybe not. it doesn't seem to be so straightforward, and changing the timers can possibly break some missions in some ways.

Trying to get into Dishonored, but failing miserably, just rescued a wee girl, hope it improves significantly.
