DampSquib: Soviet-Afghan War - one last time before i get rid of it.

Ixamyakxim: I've never heard of this one - I'm guessing serious grognard hexbased wargame? Is it recent? Or a throwback? Also, nice to see you! Hope you're doing well! (I rudely asked a personal question once and had enough of an answer to hope everything's been on the up and up!).

Correct it is a hexbased wargame, a John Tiller Squad Battles game.
Throwback - ( 2007 ) if i remember correctly.

I'm doing well, slow recovery but all has gone remarkably smooth.
Nothing of significance left now, just check ups etc at this point.
Many thanks for asking, i do appreciate the kind words :)
Warhammer 40,000: Regicide

There's some fantastic chess-type puzzles in this, but also some campaign missions that can get really tedious.

RAGE

Very good game, reminds me of Mad Max Fury Road in terms of style

Wow I just looked this one up - I didn't realize HPS was still doing their thing (or at least were circa "not too long ago"). I still remember reading PC Gamer during what I consider its heyday and first seeing either a review or entire section (perhaps written by William Trotter) on Aide-de-Camp (or maybe it was part 2?). While I was never a military sim boardgamer I thought the concept of an "editor" allowing players to turn their favorites into a PBEM form, was pretty nifty.

That is a TON on the plate at once! Good luck with those ;) Though I'm guessing the demo will go quickly and Civ / CS are relegated to "just one more turn / one quick match" status ;)

When I have time, I've been playing through Terraria. The other day I actually dug myself a nice cavern straight into the inferno. Once there, I had accidentally summoned the Wall of Flesh by killing one of those flying demons. Of course, this happened waaaaay before I ever confronted any of the other boss creatures (besides the Eye of Cthulhu), so I was seriously unprepared for that fight.

Been getting back into Awesomenauts lately. Still a great game, but the community has really gone downhill since the old days. It used to be almost nothing but nice people, and now there's a jerk in almost every game.
I've been playing "Ring Runner: Flight of the Sagas".

I looked right past this game at first, because I'm not much into space shooters. I gave it another look when a sale came by making it only $2, and so many people had such amazing things to say about the story. Luckily it had a demo, and I fell in love with the writing in the first five minutes. The humor is great, the story is pretty good so far (and I haven't even gotten to where the developers apparently said f-it and it really got awesome). The physics of flying was a bit hard to get into, but it makes sense that you can't just change direction and go so easily, with space and inertia and all that. I am loving it so far, and luckily it has a rookie for space shooting noobs like me. :P
System Shock :)

That enhanced edition definitely makes this game more playable. I don't think I would have enjoyed the old movement scheme that much anymore. The default key input was thought through quite well. Playing in widescreen is also nice. Do the changes make the game any less challenging? Hardly. I've only cleared the first two levels so far, and I still managed to die quite a bit on the default difficulty setting.

The updated controls definitely helped this game to age more gracefully. It sill boasts a great atmosphere and eerie sound design. A lot of fun still. :)
Nothing. I am waiting patiently until I can play Kerbal Space Program. Patient as a f**kin zen master.

Patient as a ninja, until the gaming gods smile upon me with spaceships.

Oh gaming gods, I submit to thee will and offer up this sacrifice as payment.

Luckily he doesn't seem to come into this thread much, so he won't know he got sacrificed and then reincarnated. :P
Jagged Alliance 2 with the 1.13 mod. Truly excellent! Just a pity about the interface not quite designed for the complexity added, especially when it comes to the revamped inventory system and its myriad of choices

Dead State. Feeling like I need a nap. Dead State isn't really a bad game, it's just kinda... blah. Makes me sleepy.
