mistermumbles: Paused everything for a bit of... DOOOOOOOM!!!!

I'm only playing ye olde DOS version. It's nice that there are new-fangled alternatives for it, but to me using those open source ports just loses something in the process. Besides, after quickly rebinding keys it plays incredibly well for something that old.

Anyway, it's a testament to great game design how much fun these old shooters still are. Plus, I can let out my recent frustration with work out on some poor demon saps. That's right: shotgun to the face, biatch! ;)
Lights out, headphones on, six pack of beer handy. And Doom. It's just as much fun now as it was 20 years ago. Am I right or am I right?

You're abso-fucking-lutely right!
Playing The Witcher 3 for the fist time. It's a masterpiece. I'm investing every moment of free time into this fantastic journey right now... and it's still not enough. :/
Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm
Finally beat it, didn't like it as much a WoL but still a good play. The game felt too easy most of the time on normal which (for me) is strange for a RTS. Ending wasn't as good as WoL either.

Thinking of playing Shadowrun Dragonfall or Dark Souls next for some variety then a strong playthrough of Total Annihilation.
Switching between:
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale
Cute characters, boring story, the first dungeon visits are fun, making your own items is useless.

and

Final Fantasy VII
Another port badly done.
Other games on hold for the moment during the HOMM 7 Beta.

Only a few hours in, and it's skirmish rather than campaign, but aside from some slow load times first impression is quite good. Though I should probably hold final judgment til I've cleared a map or two.

Edit/Update:

After playing through a scenario, I'd have to give it mixed reviews. Very much like the art, hero, and town designs.

OTOH, at least the beta version has 2 major issues:
1) Repeated crashes, seemingly at least somewhat related to UPlay. Which is made worse by the load times being so slow.
2) Terrible AI - AI does pretty well IN combat, but in terms of army building/exploring, they seemed intent on just zerging me with useless armies after I took out their first hero.

In theory these both might be fixed come full release, but after a strong first impression it was very much a 'wait and see' for me. The game could have been over in a hurry if not for me exploring the whole map, plus all the crashing/rebooting.

Oops, I thought I wouldn't play MOBA's again after I quit dota2 a couple years ago and now I'm hooked on SMITE. >.<
Some jerk launched a nuclear warhead in Arma 2, then the end of the world happened.

It's vicious with insane people running around with guns everywhere.

I've played 90% of Arma 2, but there's 90% more to go. Your right if you think that doesn't add up, this game is not normal. I thought I'd been playing for three hours, it turned out it was actually seven.

I'm scared of the crazy people with guns, but here goes...

Lisa:The Joyful.
Beneath a Steel Sky. Had always been interested on giving it a try since the first day it appeared in my library. So far so good.

I also am currently playing Tribes Ascend right now. Just because the devs had stopped supporting the game, didn't mean the minority of its former population stop playing the game. I recommend everyone to give these two games a try.
The original Fallout. First time I stopped playing it in a mid game and never came back. So when it got re-released on GOG so I decided to give it another try. Loving it so far :)
Doom with Brutal Doom and Project Brutality.

Jesus Harold Christ. If Brutal Doom added a shot of testosterone to Doom, then Project Brutality turns it into a penis shaped rocket flying through space fueled by gunpowder and the recycled energy of millions of lost souls. It's just... there's no words for how much fun that mod is.

A test of the firepower in Project Brutality
