Final Fantasy 5 (2 in the US) and Earthbound.

Still working on my bucket/shame list.

Having just finished KKND2 (liked it a lot), now I am again in the tasty situation to think what to play next. I'd want to try some underdog, something not too obvious. It would be too easy for me to pick e.g. Age of Empires 3, Star Wars Battlegrounds or Icewind Dale 2, but somehow I feel I should install something I know nothing about (besides the name), and/or something from my retail PC collection (instead of a GOG (or Steam) game).

Maybe the Enemy Nations RTS that I noticed one or two weeks ago, freeware nowadays? I think it first needs some work to get installed, apparently you are supposed to make a CD image first from those bunch of files etc... (why couldn't the developers just offer a ready CD-image, or direct installation files?).

I have some other games installed and waiting for me to either properly play or finish them (Thief Gold, Tie Fighter, Mechwarrior 3....), but I am mainly playing those on other PCs, especially the games needing a joystick. For this laptop I need something that can be played with the mouse and keyboard in a relaxed manner. RTS, RPG or possibly an adventure game (not a big fan of adventure games though, always get stuck in some illogical puzzle...).
Creeper World 3: Arc Eternal. Deceptively simple, surprisingly fun. It has this "just-one-more-level-before-going-to-bed" thing. A great combination of tower defense & offense. :-)

I faced the "can't produce more units" bug only a few times in the whole game (the very last mission of Evolved and tech campaigns), and it always went away by restarting the game and reloading a savegame. That was no biggie to me.

The "mission failed" bug was more common, but the workaround seemed to work whenever it happened.

Sure the latter was quite annoying when it occurred, but then e.g. the corrupting save games bug in Age of Empires (1) was far more annoying to me, as it often meant I had to restart the whole level as all the savegames were corrupted. Yet, I managed to finish that game too.

If finishing those two games secured my place on Heaven, all the better.

wolfsrain: I have three right now:

Jagged Alliance Flashback - say whaty you want, but it's still amazing what they did with that budget. They underestimated the budget, they did not understood the fact that most of the JA fans want a clone of the JA2 gameplay at worst and a clone of JA2 1.13 at best, just with a different story, but it's still incredible what they've pushed with the given budget. Plus, i kind of enjoying this more than i did with JABIA or Crossfire.

Mercenaries 2 - mindless fun from Pandemic. Shame that the original is not on PC and shame that Merc 2 isn't on GOG.

The Saboteur - underrated game with a great mood. I like the idea of starting in black and white with a splash of color and giving back the colors to the city by eliberating the areas. And i kind of like the damn story.
Do you know if there is a PC version of The Saboteur that is DRM-free? I'm a complete sucker for open world games but haven't given The Saboteur a chance since it seems to require either Origin or uses a third party DRM (or both).
Unfortunately no. Origin or bust. Or you can buy the game and use a yarr version.
Terraria's been sucking up much of my free time since I bought it in the first round of Insomnia almost a week ago. Also been trying to get into Banished (another Insomnia purchase); unfortunately, the tutorial scenarios kind of suck, and I'm too lazy right now to pore over the in-game help topics. Oh, and the Zombie HQ app for short bursts of mindless zombie killing once in a while.
Right now i'm playing Assassin's Creed Unity, Crysis 3 and, on PS3, Beyond: Two Souls.
I'm also playing Zelda Majora's Mask 3D on Nintendo 3DS (in fact, i only started it, but i'm planning to play it to the end after i finish at least 2 of the 3 games above).
And i occasionally play some Blood Bowl Chaos Edition and Dayz from time to time.
In terms of GOG stuff, i've started playing Lure of the Temptress but i'm stuck pretty badly, and have no intention to cheat by using guides, so i guess it will take a while.

Vampire Bloodlines: Antitribu Mod

This thing's good! Bit harder than the original, but still, the original was a real piece of cake anyway!

FEAR Extraction Point (after finishing it Perseus Mandate is due).

Then a big pause for games. It is spring, alright! Time for workouts and physical labor (!!!).
Zeno Clash. Great game, great series! I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a great first person brawler/fighting game and/or a unique setting/universe.
