RenegadeShepard: Soon I'll be trying out Temple of Elemental Evil, but before that comes to pass I need to track down some fan made bug fixes that are recommended before playing.
DubConqueror: You mean these?
Circle of Eight Yep! That would be it!
It was installed before I started playing for the first time. Was running into an issue with the resolutions crashing the game until it was set to 1280 x 900. Past that it seems to be working fine besides a few odd issues here and there.A few minor path finding issues, re-rolling and applying stats when making new characters on occasion won't allow you to continue the character creation process. But otherwise than that I've been fortunate enough to be able to not experience any severe problems (save file corruptions, game breakers, etc.)
If there's one thing I'm quite enjoying right now surprisingly it's actually the sheer act of creating a character. Loving how many different combinations of skill sets and minor quirks (which god/goddess they worship) that are available to use.
The tactical turned based combat is difficult, yet very fun and complex.
The fact that you can have a different opening scenario based on your party alignment that propels the story is a small but awesome touch (reminds me a lot of Dragon Age: Origins).
And another neat feature, right before starting the adventure the game allows you to visit a shop and pick your own starting gear. This also happens right before you board the zeppelin in Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.
The only thing about the game that I have not been able to delve very far into is the plot. From what a lot of other's have said though it does not amount to much. Hopefully that's not the case since I really enjoy engaging stories.
