After few day of break, I went for more Deep Sky Derelicts. The game has due to it's nature strange difficulty spikes. Sometimes after a lot of easy-peasy encounters, you get obliterated in few rounds in the next one. Especially when you encounter Soulmorphs. I got first two station defense encounters, and the second one was really problematic to win. Definitely needed more than 5 attempts to win it. Still having fun, still feeling sometimes repetition. I have unlocked 3rd tier of derelicts and spent 22 hours with it so far.

dtgreene: Playing The Elder Scrolls: Arena

I like the simplicity of the game, and how the classes are more distinct (note that there are no custom classes). The game does have its issues, of course, including the fact that it somehow manages to be quite buggy despite its simplicity.

One thing that helps is that the controls are actually pretty similar to Wizardry 8's default controls. (With that said, Wizardry 8 is definitely the better game.)

(Edit: Just a little punctuation fix.)
Great game. You actually gave me an idea, I'm going to drop my plan of playing through Disco Elysium for now and instead replay all of the Elder Scrolls games, starting with Arena of course. That should heal my Albion addiction...

I actually finished Arena several times now, and I've got to say the controls kinda grow on you after a while and the game even becomes kinda comfortable to play, but of course it's nowhere near the level of comfort that games nowadays offer their players. You actually have to figure stuff out yourself in it, like all of those older games.
I'm going through a Blizzard phase of sorts at the moment: I'm playing the Ork campaign in Warcraft II, and I'm near the end of the third chapter from Diablo II. And I've also just started Beneath a Steel Sky. Plus the occasional level from Commandos (I've reached no. 13 so far).

So, what class do you like to play in Arena?

I happen to like Sorcerer (lots of SP, innate spell absorption, and the interesting limitation of not regaining SP through resting (but Potions of Restore Power exist), Nightblade (magic + thief skills, also gets a discount on some spell effects (notably including Open, allowing me to open locked doors that would normally require a large detour to get a key for, like the ones in the Labyrinthian), and when I want something other than a caster, I go with Knight (can automatically repair weapons and armor, including those that cast spells when used as an item).

I only ever played Spellsword and Knight. Knight is definitely harder to play of those two. Spellsword is probably one of the easiest classes to play, but I just like roleplaying the idea of being both warrior and a mage, a warrior scholar. I play Spellsword or Spellsword-like classes/playstyles in all TES games actually (I always make my own class in Daggerfall which is kinda-like-Spellsword).

That being said, maybe I'll try something different this time. Monk seems like an interesting class, though most likely hard as hell to play.

Interestingly enough, Sorcerer can use all the weapons and armor (but not shields) that a Spellsword can can use.

The playing style is rather interesting: When you are fighting enemies that don't use magic, you play like a warrior, albeit one with fewer hit points but some emergency magic use. When you are fighting enemies that do use magic, you switch to playing as a mage, so you can use all that extra SP you get. It can be quite fun.

(Worth noting that Potions of Restore Power will restore SP, and using them can make playing as a Sorcerer significantly easier. If you want, you can attempt Sorcerer without using these potions.)

For Knight, my favorite approach is to get some weapons that cast offensive spells (particularly Lifesteal and Firestorm) and use their spells as my primary form of offense. Since I'm a Knight, in this instance, I don't need to worry about manually repairing these weapons.

Then again, it turns out that, if you drop off an item for repair and ask for it to be ready in 2048 days (or any multiple thereof), it will be ready instantly. Gotta love those integer overflow bugs.
The Humble Choice games i got for this month like Trek to Yomi and Disco Elysium. Gog games include xiii remake and mafia 3
Recently finished:
-> The Evil Within 2 from GOG.
-> Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut from GOG.
-> Gotham Knights from Steam.

Playing these games a lot lately:
-> Fallout 4: GOTY Edition from GOG.
-> Quake 2 Remastered on Steam.
-> Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered on PS4.

Still some stuff I've still been juggling on and off:
-> HELLGATE: London (Steam Edition) from Steam.
-> Remnant 1: From the Ashes - Complete Edition on Steam.

Put aside, for now:
-> Yakuza: Kiwami on Steam.
-> NIER Automata: YORHA on Steam.
-> Far Cry 6 on UbiSoft Connect.
-> Lake on UbiSoft Connect.
-> Hard Reset: Redux from GOG.
-> Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment from Epic (via Heroic).
Recently I've been playing Super Robot Wars MX, L, and (now) Z2 Hakai-Hen (roughly meaning the part of the breaking the world, which is one of two parts of the Z2 game).
This series has been very popular in Japan and has roughly 60 games (including the original sagas) and a history of 30 years, and some recent works are officially translated into English too.
The MX and L are well crafted and I enjoyed them a lot, also I played a bit of SRW D too, and although it is all in all a good game, it is not my cup of tea so I gave up it. Now I'm playing Z2 Hakai-Hen about the 10th stage. I enjoyed it so far.

Hello everyone!

I am playing "Gravitar Recharged" and having pure Arcade fun!
Ease of play and it has this "just one more time" to it.

A well made remake of a classic similar to the Lunar Lander and Thrust series. Very recommended.
Currently, still discounted (which did not happened that often since its release here).

Kind regards,
foxgog

Void Stranger.

If you pick this up, go in blind. Trust me. I don't usually play puzzle games, but this is a secret/lore jam-packed hidden gem.

Approaching infinity and shadow of the wyrm.

I'm on a roguelike kick. Infra Arcana too, but it's annoying because of a lack of save flexibility, although excellent in all other ways.

My child is trying to get me to play co-op Undertale, but I have very old reflexes.
I started playing World of Warcraft:Dragonflight, it's entertaining. Dragonflight offers a vast and visually stunning world filled with diverse landscapes, unique creatures, and rich lore. Exploring this immersive environment is a key attraction for players. I started using wow vendor boosting services to improve my skills and weapon and achieve in-game goals faster.
Boosting services can help them reach a more enjoyable gaming experience. Esp I like that players can choose the specific services they want, allowing for a personalized gaming experience.
