Err no probs so no constipation due to high fibre diet...try psyllium, or massage your perineum.
Weird topic....
Unpleasant.

mike_cesara: I'd tell you if I were normal..

hedwards: I think you mean regular...
Why would I want to be a regular one?
It feels like abdominal pain, not unlike a hernia. Can come with nausea from the pain itself. Not pleasant but not the end of the world, either.

tinyE: Ask Max.

apehater: i would ask him instead

I'm guessing you mean we should ask him instead.

This thread is marked as a question.

Is there actually a right answer to this, and if so, do we really want to know it?
Awwwe crap! Now Green_Hilltop is talking shit... or attempting to take one. Were you sitting on the toilet with your laptop when you created this thread?

FoxbodyMustang: I don't think a day passes when I don't take the browns to the super bowl.

For times when they can't quite make it to the playoffs, I change my diet for a couple days of nothing but fruit and liquids (mostly water). Coconut water works nice too. Yeah, I know there's a pill for that. I try to avoid taking pills and other medications for things as much as possible. It's bad enough being diabetic, I don't want the cabinets looking like a drug store.

Hope that helps for anyone who might be having problems.

PS - If you've ever seen those sugar free candies such as sugar free reeses peanut butter cups, eat a small bag of those in one sitting. Excessive consumption of these can cause a laxative effect, I found out the hard way when I was first trying to adapt to being diabetic. I no longer buy stuff like that though. Worth a shot I guess if you're embarrassed about buying laxatives, can't promise results though since everyone is different.

PPS - If you're buying those for this purpose, be sure to buy extra toilet paper just in case.
Soo, you had the "Haribo" effect happen?

Green_Hilltop: Wow, how would you do that? You can really do that? Kudos to you if you can!
Well i remember it happening. Push out enough and it feels like solid wood, grab some TB and pull while pushing out. Little by little...

Take my advice. If you have anything to dump, don't let it get stuck in there 3 days (Which could happen if you heavily eat white bread), try to go regularly.
I have Crohn's Disease, so I experience intense periods of severe flare ups when everything is fluid.
Abdominal cramps, nausea and fatigue.

It's just grand

Green_Hilltop: Basically, I have a slighter slower digestive system than most people, although according to my Google searches there are plenty of others who have it the same - I used to go and poo only once a week, and that was normal for me. Now I usually go every three days.

For me, that's perfectly normal and feels okay, but it makes me wonder - how often do you guys need to poo? And how does it feel when you're constipated?
Every day, thanks to excessive alcohol consumption every day after work.
When having a sober week then over a day.

This thread is THE SHIT
Here I sit,
broken hearted.
For I came to shit,
and only farted.
It feels like shit.

No one seemed to reply to you seriously, so here goes:

I once knew one guy who said something similar as you, ie. he normally goes to take a dump only 1-2 times a week. He seemed surprised others would have to go more often. I don't know if it matters, but he was a bit of obese (reason or consequence, I have no idea).

I regularly go to take a dump every day, sometimes even 2-3 times per day (but once a day it quite normal). I guess I eat quite a bit of fiber (dark rye bread daily, and usually also oat meal in the mornings or such; and lots of vegetables), but what seems to get my bowels really going is when I drink coffee. I usually drink my morning coffee when I come to work (1-2 hours after my breakfast at home), and I usually need to go to take a dump like 1-2 hours after that.

The only exception to my pooing routing is when I go to some new place, e.g. going abroad or to our summer cottage. Then my bowels seem to take a break from the daily routine and skip one or two days. I don't know what that's about. I don't fret about that too much though, I figure "it comes when it comes", I don't try to force it out or anything.

Now, my question to you is that if you really poo only e.g. once a week, I'd expect the turds to be extra large, and the toilet bowl get jammed from the amount of feces? Or do they shrink in your stomach during those days they travel through?

Anyway, I suggest you start eating oat meals, rye bread and lots of different kinds of raw vegetables daily, and drink coffee. Let's see how it affects your pooing habits.

EDIT: Oh and to your actual question: for instance when those 1-2 day skips happen, the only big difference I feel is that I tend to fart more often. Otherwise I feel pretty fine when constipated.
