So there's this dog that lives near me. I often find him sitting quietly behind a gate, down a street where I happen to pass with a certain regularity. I quite like him and I have been wondering for some time what his breed is; then I thought I could just take a picture and post it here: GOG forum is so diverse a place, I am sure there's someone who can give an answer.
OK maybe it's an easy one but I don't know much about dogs and dog breeds. I suppose I could just watch dog pictures until I find this one, but it's funnier this way. Also, there are certainly many dog-related forums out there, but I like it more to ask here.
I'm sorry, no games for reward, just my gratitude, because I'm poor.

Bitsa!.............Bitsa this and that. Nice looking Dog and it is saying give me a home and get me out of this prison.
Certainly a mix of breeds, I asked a friend of mine who knows animals and she replied: "Not sure, mutt of some fashion probably some form of shepherd If it's small (I can't tell) it might be part jack russell or other short haired terrier"

I can definitely see the ears of a german shepard. Looks like a sweet pup!

From what I've heard, dogs are a good/easy way to get into a conversation with someone, so...why not simply ask the owner?

Perhaps the owner is not there sitting behind that gate?

Or maybe the owner can't speak. It could be that the dog is its owner.

Nice comment, but since when is being kept inside a prison(worthy of said title, that is)?
I hoped this was a new forum game

Ever since yards' fences in some Mediterranean houses got redefined as prisons, apparently.

Well, believe it or not, what initially impressed me most of this dog was a certain aura of sadness in his look, if I may say so. And his very quiet demeanour: I (almost) never saw him bark, or wiggle his tail, or things like that. Maybe old age? Who knows.
(Looking at it again, I must confess I shot a pretty depressing picture...)

Yes, I guess you're right, probably a mixed-breed.

Well, in all truth I am reluctant to ring the bell just to ask such a question... and by the way, I have never seen ANYONE in that courtyard, yet I have passed before that gate literally dozens of times, at different hours of the day, morning, afternoon, evening... never saw that dog in the company of a human being, or any living creature for that matter. Maybe that's why he looks so sad.

Sounds like it, doesn't it? Well, it could become one, actually; you just need someone to post another photo for others to guess. It could be nice but, I'm afraid, a bit of a "connoisseur" game, so to speak.

Nope, 4 or 5 years old and being kept as a guard dog and as you say you never saw anyone with him I would say also neglected. And that's the sad part, too many people do this and don't deserve a dog or any pet.

You shouldn't paint people you don't know a certain way without proof. I agree actual pet ab*se is bad, though, which is why I donate to some charities like ASPCA and the local no kill shelters.

Jack Russel Cross Labrador? But yea, a bit hard to gauge the size? needs a person in the picture.

Well, I know how to paint a moron mural. And stick your condescending views up your arse!

And I'll take a ban as someone had to say it.

No need to be rude...it was just simple advice offered mainly in good faith(and somewhat to criticize your seeming penchant in this instance to jump to judgement).

Are you for real? You go into every thread in this place and annoy everyone with your idiotic advise and judgement and BS and complain about being down voted. What did you expect, a big sloppy kiss? Now I'll do what you do and that is YOU have serious problems and need to see a psychiatrist. Now, most of us would appreciate it you didn't stalk us in threads when we have a comment and come in and spoil it by offering advise or idiotic judgement assumptions that you obviously get off Google because no one is that stupid.
