fables22: The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (2003, Peter Jackson)

Matewis: Considered that one myself. And Howard Shore's soundtrack never leaves my car. I'm battling waves of orcs and chilling in Rivendell whenever I go to buy groceries :)
Oh yes.

tinyE: ZFR is right, that's not 21st century.

And neither is Gladiator.

This list is off to a wonderful start. :P

Breja: The list was fucked from the first post. I mean- Kill Bill? Seriously? That's one of the worst pieces of shit imaginable :D
So is the LOTR trilogy. Three three hour movies about people fucking walking.
Just to get it officially in the books...

No reason to post Lord of the Rings since it's already posted.

Having to pick only one entry is kinda of hard but I'll have to go with "Sin City" (Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, 2005). Great adaptation of the source material.
To complete the trilogy...

THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS
Release Year: 2002
Director: Peter Jackson
• Children of Men | 2006 | Alfonso Cuarón. One of the best movies I've watched; great atmosphere, cast & story.

Requiem For A Dream (Darren Aronofsky, 2000)
• Inception | 2010 | Christofer Nolan

My mind was blown with this movie, I must have watched it 5-6 times by now; superb cast.
OSS 117: CAIRO, NEST OF SPIES
Release Year: 2006
Director: Michel Hazanavicius
2001: A Space Odyssey, just kidding. I really don't know, most of my faves are from before 2000. Ok, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (2004)

Mad Max : Fury Road (George Miller, 2015)

• The Mist | 2007 | Frank Darabont. Great film & characters and a fantastic atmosphere. Very true to the novella except the ending which was changed (very good though). Silent Hill & Half-Life (among others) were inspired by it.
Amélie (Jean-Pierre Jeunet, 2001)
