Caliban's War by James S.A. Corey. The second book in the Expanse Trilogy
Finished the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Now, to bide time until I can hit the Goodwill Bookstore, I'm rereading Cat's Cradle (my favorite book ^o^). If I finish that, I'll probably reread Slaughterhouse-Five, just for the hell of it. If I finish THAT, and still don't have a new book lined up, I guess I'll reread the Great Gatsby, just to freshen up for the movie (which my sister told me was terrible, lol).

The Easton Press is selling autographed copies of both those last time I checked.

Wow, that sounds awesome! I'll have to check that out :) My dad apparently saw him when he lived in New York, at a bank. He didn't say anything to him, though. Pisses me off when I think about it XD

BuzzLightyear2: I am currently reading Homeland, the first book in The Dark Elf Trilogy by R. A. Salvatore.
Really enjoyed that series. Don't forget the other Drizzt Series.

adambiser: Currently reading The Sword of Truth #6: Faith of the Fallen by Terry Goodkind.
I know that feeling, I'm almost halfway through this Series, and I sure hope this series picks back up to the quality of the first three books. Spoilers, it doesn't....but I still had to read them all anyway and I somewhat enjoyed them.

HypersomniacLive: Is Carter still on Earth at that time mark (can't remember, sorry)? Truth is, things feel a bit slow and flat at the beginning, it's more fun and lively once he gets transported to Mars.

And apologies for hijacking the thread.

tinyE: Maybe I lasted longer that 20 minutes. The movie didn't seem to waste much time. He had just gotten to Mars.
The movie kept me interested, but it had a lot of plot holes which I won't spoil for anyone here. Was that one in 3D in the theaters? I saw it on HBO, so I would've missed that.

Borders had some great deals on sets before they closed and I grabbed them then. So I'm pretty much in it for the long haul, just to finish the series once.
'Pillars of the Earth' by Kent Folent. The story revolves around the construction of a Cathedral in a medieval town. The way the author describes some of the characters' surroundings and day-to-day activities is fascinating. Glad I was born in the 20th century though!
Finished reading The Last Castle by Jack Vance, a very "meh" sci-fantasy story with a really stupid and anti-climax ending. 2/5
Just started one of three anthologies of works by Philip K Dick. Been meaning to read his stuff for a long time now, and Half Price Books gave me the perfect opportunity.

Both of those are included. The three books contain thirteen of his novels and the two you mention are in the first anthology. For some reason I went out of chrono order so I'm starting out on VALIS.
Just finished rereading Cat's Cradle. I went to the GoodWill bookstore yesterday and picked up TimeQuake by Kurt Vonnegut, American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, and For Whom the Bell Tolls by Hemingway. Started reading American Psycho...it's gooood :)
Some days ago I finished reading Mostly Harmless by Douglas Adams and the Pet Sematary by Stephen King. Now, I'm off to read A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens to see what the fuss is all about.
