The Boat of a Million Years, by Poul Anderson

Not far into it but I'm getting a Highlander vibe. Maybe the book loosely inspired the movie? Not curious enough to look it up... ; )

Book came out in 1989, but I'm pretty sure Highlander was released in 1986. Poul Anderson is a great writer, though.

I'm reading The Comic Book Makers, which is Joe Simon's memoirs of working in the comics industry. I've been reading a lot of Golden Age comics lately, so it makes for a nice companion to that.
