Walter Miller’s A Canticle for Leibowitz.

Stanisław Lem’s Star Diaries.

Chalmers Johnson’s Blowback/American Empire trilogy.

R. W. Hamming’s Digital Filters and Numerical Methods for Scientists and Engineers.

And I’m reading the complete works of Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, the authors of Roadside Picnic, which was the basis for the movie Stalker and an inspiration for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. PC game series. Not too long ago, a German publisher put together an edition of six volumes containing almost the complete works of the Strugatskys except two books that are missing for unknown reasons. But these are easily available, too.

I just recently got a library card again (first tiem in probably 15 years) because Ars Technica recommended The Broken Earth series by N.K. Jemesin. I just started the third and final book today. It's not the best series I've ever read, but it's entertaining enough to keep me reading. I do recommend it!

Seems to be your sort of novel, looking at your avatar hehe. How you came to discover this book? Why started to read it?

I don't even remember. Got it years ago while working for B&N.
"The Regulators" by Stephen King, after Desperation I needed more and thank to Gr00t I have found it.

BTW I'm also a huge Harry Potter fan, so never judge a book by it's cover, pardon the pun. :P

Thumbs up. :) Hope you enjoy it.

For myself, I finished Phillip Pullman's latest novel: Book One of the Book of Dust (subtitle is La Belle Sauvage). This put nme in the mood for more of that setting, so I'm on a re-read of the His Dark Materials trilogy. Currently half way through book one, titled The Golden Compass here in North America.
Hi everyone!

I see a lot of Stephen King here. Well, I won't be the exception, I'm actually reading IT from King. It's a little bit long, so I guess it'll take me some time to finish it ;)
Started with Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell.
But in fact I should read SAS for Dummies now... :/
Heroes Die by Matthew Stover.
Someone knows if there is a version of this topic for movies that we watched?
