Tesla: Inventor of the Electrical Age, by W Bernard Carlson
So I finshed all of Frank Herbert's Dune series and decided to jump back to Neal Stephenson's Baroque Cycle, so I'm now reading The Confusion.

How are you liking this one? I've been interested in reading about Tesla, but wanted to make sure I found a good book.

It seems like an academic version of a biography, neither a love letter nor a harsh critique that some biographies turn out to be. And it goes into technical details of electricity, motors, etc. I'm not far into the book but it's decent to this point.

And the Baroque Cycle... whew! Some long reading there, with the typical "I wonder where he's going with this..." stuff that you get from a Neal Stephenson book / series. I liked it.
I just read a Hugo nominated short story from 2010.

It's set during the events of John Carpenter's The Thing and is written from the perspective of the creature.

Man it is damn good.

Spook Country by William Gibson.

I'm not much for contemporary politiclal thrillers (or anything set in modern times with a few exceptions) but since this is WG I'll give it a go. I actually picked it up not knowing what it was about.
Half a War, by Joe Abercrombie.
GOG
I think tinyE did it.
Threads, when I should be reading my paperback!
Penny Arcade webcomics.
Waiting until I read all of the 2001 webcomics before jumping onto the 2002 webcomics which I actually bought in a book complete with commentary and whatnot. Oh, and the feeling of a book, that is.
I have three books to read. One of them - The Decameron. Can't find time for reading.
Dresden Files book series. 6 volumes to go. Lots of fun.
Finished reading Acacia: The War with the Mein (Book 1 of the Acacia series by David Anthony Durham) and my third reread of House of Chains (Book 4 of the Malazan book of the fallen series by Steven Erikson). Good stuff.
Neverending Story
Robin Hobb: Rain Wild Chronicles (book 2): Dragon Haven
I'm re-reading Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny, one of my favorite authors.

I finally managed to catch a full version of the book. Imagine how the publisher here screwed up majorly missing the whole final chapter in the first edition... It somehow felt unfinished to me (no kidding) back in the day so I read the final chapter on the net, and last year after browsing various antique book stores I finally got my hands on the corrected version.

Its a great book, with Zelazny mixing his usual fresh and highly entertaining science fantasy cocktail giving a new spin on the Hindu mythology along the way.
