robotman5: Blood Fresh Supply (that is if the GOG ver is fixed).
Not to be the bearer of bad news, but it hasn't (and most likely won't be, beyond the final patch).

I could play it safe and do Bloodlines or STALKER again, but I suddenly got this hankering to try out Pathologic. Or Harvester. Something weird and spooky.

Ixamyakxim: This year I finally might try SOMA. I had always heard great things about it, but also that it's terribly jarring and disturbing - so I always wussed out on buying it. When GoG gave it away free, I really had no excuse... ;)

So let's hope I don't end up rocking back and forth in my chair this Halloween!
I just started playing SOMA and am LOVING it so far.....I believe it is by the same people who made the Penumbra games and you can tell as it plays very similar to them. If you have time and a good enough PC I definitely recommend playing it.

(To me it seems like Penumbra style gameplay and a System Shock style enemy in a Bioshock style setting)

Linko64: The Suffering and Enternal Darkness tis all you need!
Both great games, but imo Eternal Darkness is better if you know what each of the three colored "gifts" do for the upcoming gameplay upon picking them up & pick accordingly. ;)

dtgreene: I'm thinking I might look into Cathedral, maybe?

That looks to be more twitch gameplay, which is tense but not that scary, but it still fits the theme of the season imo. :)

Lord_Kane: A replay of Ghostbusters the video game on steam.
I've got it on PS3 and I love the making of stuff including the Ecto 1 refurbishing video.

Be aware if you play harvester that it delves into some very risque and icky subjects like serial k*lling/family "relations"/etc and worse......just a head's up.

If I have the time either The Sinking City, Vampyr, or Alan Wake... although I've got so many real world projects that need finishing I may not make it to games anytime soon.

As I finished Alan Wake I cannot recommend it enough. It(and it's smaller sub parts that come with the game itself, and which are set after the main game) is amazing.....good music/settings/etc.

The only hard part is fighting the enemies if you wander off the beaten path, and the batteries running out in your lantern very quickly....other than that it's pretty decent and can be finished quickly compared to some other games.

It is on my wishlist...is it any good?
Hello all,

I wanted to replay Costume Quest but since a game I wanted comes out today, maybe I won't have time for Double Fine's production :p
Best game for Halloween is Secret World Legends. Duh! They even have community event every Halloween with new quest and tonns of loot and additional monsters.

I quite like it, but the reason I haven't finished it is because the game is divided into chapters and you not only have to find the best possible ending to each chapter, but also all of the multiple bad endings to advance as well. It can get a little tedious replaying the same chapters repeatedly. I don't think it's very long, though. I could probably finish it fairly quickly. I just need to get back to it :)
I usually keep October as my horror month because of Halloween where I play horror games and watch horror movies and read horror novels. I started playing Alien Isolation and got 6 hours in before the save system drove me mad and I had to stop playing after losing 40 minutes of game time TWICE. I might start playing either Vampire TM Bloodlines or Silent Hill 2 next.

I'm not the biggest fan of horror or survival-horror but once a year it can be fun.

So you need to find ALL endings to each chapter to advance? Well that seems a bit odd.

Either way, though, it seems to be a nice game so I might get it anyways someday. :)
Dead.
