Say, now that I actually noticed what country you're from, I simply have to take this opportunity to ask:
Is it true you guys consider the Swedish Chef from the Muppets to be Norwegian?

Tarm: Now how the heck would that work practically for someone just registering here, opening a thread about advice and then try to choose who to trust?
avatar
zeogold: By looking at the answers and seeing which sounds the most reasonable. Same you'd do if there was no number at all.
But I suppose you have a point. I just argue that if they intend to stay around for any length of time, they'll eventually figure it out. If they're just a random person who comes stumbling across the place to ask one question and leave, then they aren't really part of the community, so it won't matter anyways.
People are fickle. Internet even encourage them to be like that. So people doesn't just have a look at a community and think "Hey I'll start reading a lot of thread for months because it's so fun and I have nothing else to do".

Ha ha I have never thought of that. Probably because I've never really liked the Muppets. They just seem so flubbery. Like spaghetti or something. Dolls need substance!

I think that is an a good thing to waste some time.. just lay off with the necros.

"You fight like a cow."
"That explains the beef between us."
Edit: Everybody speaks English so well that I keep forgetting this is an international forum. For those of you who don't know, "beef" is American slang for a feud/long-standing argument.

I'm basically saying that's exactly what I did.

Is the mock-accent more accurate to the Swedish or Norwegian dialect, do you think?

So you doesn't have a life and Muppets confuse me and my memory (I don't know the answer to your question.).
Well this thread is about as constructive as the average here it seems. :)

It could be that people just want to make sure they don't repeat ancient history. I suppose it depends on the forum topic, but new folks don't tend to read the posts meant for new folks.

It's kind of embarrassing at times to post something that's already been common knowledge to the forum denizens. I find myself at times, before replying, to at least go to the beginning of the thread and make sure I don't add a "me too" reply.
