Pretty sure the only people it'd fool would be newbies. I figured it out in less than a month of being here, and even at that, I started to get a sense of what was up by watching how people acted. There are plenty of low-rated members who are great people, and there are an equal number of people in the high rankings who aren't exactly the greatest. It's just a number on a forum which was put in place to begin with to do naught but indicate how much one has posted.
