Doesn't have to be new movies... just anything you've seen an enjoyed recently.

For me...

The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)

The New World (2005)

Valhalla Rising (2009)
The only movie I've seen in the last couple of months is Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse.
Possibly the best CG animation movie I've ever seen.
Interstellar and Terminator 2.
The last couple of weeks I've been going through a Danny Boyle marathon, I already watched:

Shallow Grave, Trainspotting 1 and 2, The Beach, 28 Days Later (and sequel which Boyle didn't direct), Millions, Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Trance, Steve Jobs and Yesterday.

I really enjoyed and recommend them all except Trance and maybe Steve Jobs, which were not that bad but I didn't like them as much as the others.
Alita: Battle Angel (Robert Rodriguez, 2019)
Bad Times At The El Royale (Drew Goddard, 2018)
Crawl (Alexandre Aja, 2019)
Fighting With My Family (Stephen Merchant, 2019)
Instant Family (Sean Anders, 2018)
Isle Of Dogs (Wes Anderson, 2018)
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (Quentin Tarantino, 2019)
A Simple Favor (Paul Feig, 2018)
Upgrade (Leigh Whannell, 2018)

Masterpiece.
Just watched Casino on the new 4k HDR disc. Heck of a remaster, movie looks gorgeous. Film itself holds up super well too, of course. Eager to see The Irishman (though bummed it's a streaming exclusive).

Before that I watched Rambo 4 a week or so ago, also on the newly released 4k HDR disc. Not as nice a looking disc, but the movie is great. Unlike his crappy Expendables movies it feels like a real classic action film with heart and soul. Kind of an 80's feel, but not with music or setting or anything, just the way action movies were crafted then. Great stuff, looking forward to the fifth entry.

Just got John Wick 3 and Lock Up's 4k remaster, but haven't watched them yet.
Saw the first Indiana Jones again recently, so I'd have to go with that.

I'd guess The Irishman will eventually get a disc release. That's probably my most anticipated movie... but what do you expect when one of my favorite movies of all time is Once Upon a Time in America?

Cambrey: Masterpiece.
Yeah, it's quite an experience. I have to agree with a critic who called it the Apocalypse Now of viking movies.

Need to break those out again. Been a long, long time.

Blade Runner 2049
Spiderman Far From Home was great.

If series count: Good Omens! (David Tennant is brilliant!)
And I finally got around to watching Stranger Things. (Awesome series!)
Depressing to think about because for the life of me I can't seem to remember any recent movies that really made an impression on me, they're mostly series.

(remembered a few)
The Martian was great
Hacksaw Ridge was good
Interstellar was good as mentioned already
Passengers was enjoyable
Blade Runner 2049 was nice
I am mother wasn't bad either.
I liked the dystopian scifi mini-series, Hunger Games/Divergent/Maze Runner

But if you think of series it just pales in comparison. Breaking Bad, Westworld, Stranger Things, Black Sails, Peaky Blinders, Game of thrones, The Handmaid's tale, Orange is the new Black, The Walking Dead, Daredevil/Jessica Jones, etc. Heck I even enjoyed The Dark Crystal from the Henson Company (muppets etc)

Aquaman. Yes, it's just an action packed blockbuster without some deep thoughts, but it's still a good blockbuster. And the best movie I've watched this year.

Honestly, the first season is great. But seasons 2&3 are just a rehash of the first season. Watching one thing three times, I consider a waste of time.

Since I recently rewatched my DCEU collection in preparation for the Shazam! (the original Captain Marvel!*) BluRay arrival I add +1 for Aquaman (... and all the others).

*I bought & like to one with the blonde babe too though (not a Marvel reader, so I don't get the outrage) ;)
