Was that the one where he investigates a murder mystery of an old woman and then TURNS DOWN the money/jewels she had initially offered him for his services?

That, to me, wasn't, Lupin.....MY(old/classic) Lupin would've felt up the pretty maid, looted anything of value, and left once he could(when the lockdown lifted) with said loot.

I looked it up and saw it isn't that one....but that one(and others from the newer series of tv shows) make Lupin out to be a Gary Stu(nothing can catch him and nothing gets past him, even more so than usual) with a heart of gold out to defend any person and right any injustice.

Yeah I looked it up....tbh it's a bit "tame" on the making Lupin a saint as the newer series.....he is literally a gary stu who can escape even things old Lupin likely couldn't have & a near saint to anyone and everyone who needs his help in the modern stuff.

Crunchyroll is my #1 site for Anime, though this season doesn't have much to interest me. Though either next season or the one after looks to be interesting.


BOFURI I Don't Want to Get Hurt, So I'll Max Out My Defence - currently playing on Hulu. So far loving the series. VRMMOish theme.


The Castlevania series there is nice - been out on Netflix for a bit.

I have to admit though, Netflix has one of the best video players. The picture are always so clear and smooth. Switching between languages is also flawless.

I saw Rurouni no Kenshin already mentioned, possibly several times. Awesome, deceptively reality-based samurai anime series.

Scrapped Princess probably hasn't been mentioned. Anyone protective about their sister(s) will be able to relate, and probably shed a few tears. Similar to how Full Metal Alchemist feels like for RL brothers.

Didn't watch that one specifically but it's the whole concept that I find meh. :)

Konosuba is indeed a funny show and I think there's a season 2 coming out soon.

The first season of Higurashi is a pretty good horror anime. The visual novel is also here on GOG.

In researching some of the long running anime that have been suggested here, I keep seeing people advising to skip filler episodes. My natural inclination for any series I commit to is to watch every episode until the end. When I see even die hard fans of a series recommend skipping 50 to 100 episodes, it's a bit of a turn off.

I don't know what a exact anime you talking about. Usually long series don't have "filler episodes", though quite a few anime have story stretched so thin, that some episodes barely move the plot forward. "Saint Seya" is especially guity of this, as one time I've missed three episodes in a row and there were still the same characters fighting when I saw next.

The big 3 (One Piece, Naruto, Bleach) definitely had a ton of filler episodes. There's whole filler guides for them.


Konosuba *has* 2 seasons.

I love Konosuba but it'll probably help if someone watches at least a couple of Isekai before watching it, else the whole 'summoned to a fantasy/game like world' parody humor of it may pass you by xD
