That sounds fantastic, I'm in!

If I could choose an animal companion... well, does it have to be an animal that still exists? I'd go for a small dragon in the form of what you usually see in eastern mythology/history. Maybe just big enough to be able to fly me away in an emergency, but I'd choose this creature more because of how it is so majestic and could inspire fear toward any being that wishes to harm me. I also always love when you see intelligent, non-evil dragons in fantasy so there's that as well.

Maybe a much smaller version of Ran or Shaw from Avatar: The Last Airbender?
With so many entries, I want to improve everyone's chances for success, so if everything goes well I'm going to up the gifted copies to 5. I've already bought 3 copies (at 24h intervals because of GOG gifting cooldowns) and plan to keep doing so until Saturday. And of course Sunday is when the fates will show their true colors and pick the winners.
I'm in for Planet of Lana too and my companion is...

a dolphin. Unfortunately he has no legs and I have to drag him behind me in a gigantic goldfish bowl. But he's happy to be there, give me advice and cheers me on.

*thx for the chance*
The vgame trailer seems promising
Cinematic shots, zoom-ins&outs here & there,
a vintage palet color to the flashbacks,
to give a new breath of life
to the "simplistic" side scroller platformers :)
As an indie, I can understand the use of gibberish,
lack of environmental sounds & no co-op
A wish of mine: The dev making good money to evolve & enhance
their following vgames with more elements
in addition to the visible existing talent they have
(instead of stagnating on the comfort zone as many, many do!)

Yes, I would be pleased to play Planet of Lana
if you and the randomness allow it

If you accept suggestions, another indie vgame
simple yet effective, strategy/survival oriented
is The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands. Not here, Im affraid
I played it on tablet years ago and the PC version given away
on the Legacy games platform remains on my queue,
but It should be great as well

As several companion candidates were already taken (parrot, mice)
I'll take my cousin, a talking chimpanzee
Would be a real gift to be able to conversate:
The many things to learn/confirm just overriding
my lack of understanding of the animal language...

Thanks for the GA WinterSnowfall, sharing the treasure you found
and all your contributions to the community!

PS - By the way, could I suggest to add
a last update timestamp somewhere (maybe the first row)
to your ids_with_tags file please?
I dont download your very useful file very often
but when I do is not easy to tell how old/fresh it is...
(and gdrive as usual, does not help)
Thanks in advance sir!
I'm in for Planet of Lana.
My animal companion would be a parrot. Parrots are incredible intelligent, very faithful and protective, my parrot Mimi doesn't let anyone attack me, always look for me when I go to work and flies towards me when I get back. Parrots are the best and would be an incredible companion.
I am not in, I already got blessed with beautiful games like yours. An African elephant with an average life of 70 years would be my lifetime companion. Enough time to beat any adventure. I want to wish the best luck to everyone and thank your generosity.
I'm in.

The animal I chose would feel humiliated if upping his intelligent to one of a six-years old was called UPlifting.
He considers himself far above the human species.
Ever haughty, yet caring,

Cute little companion of poets,
Awake, rarely, sleepy often,
Tabby ball of fur.
Time for another bump. Today I'll be procuring the last of 5 copies, so all is well and in schedule. Don't forget to tune in on Sunday for the grand finale.
Five copies are really many, it speaks volumes on how much you like this game!

I'm in.

If I could have a companion animal it would be a pig. They're already as intelligent as a 3-year old so it's not a big stretch of the imagination to bring it up to 6-8.
They're some of the most mistreated animals on this planet so I would be happy to give one a proper life. Plus, they're super cute.
I'd also like to be in.

As for an animal companion, I already have one. I have a white and grey cat. He already delights me, but if he was semi-sentient to the extent that we could communicate in some manner that would be wonderful. My preference would be if he had some sort of cat thought translator collar on.

Cats are exceptional companions because they are their own individuals. I have to work with mine to find a way we can both get what we want. I want to pet him, but he only wants to be pet in certain spots. So, I watch to see how he reacts and if I don't pay attention to his more subtle signs, he will push my hand away.

I can just imagine how we would adventure together. He could be my eye in the dark, and I would be a mobile platform for him to jump off of to get to higher locations or to attack his foes from above. Plus, there is some scientific consensus that purring has a restorative effect, so he can buff me in that regard as well.
The 5 copies are here. The fates stir and mumble. Tomorrow upon the same hour they shall pick.

I like anything with a good story :P, and SF themes especially hit very close to home.

In most cultures there are 3 fates, so I have asked of each to pick a winner. The other 2 winners I have picked myself, by invoking the law of surprise and going against entropy, which will rarely pick outliers. The Gaussian bell curve will not have its day today.

The winners are as follows:
- Post 02 - Ice_Mage
- Post 15 - KillingMoon - picked by Urðr
- Post 29 - bhrigu - picked by Verðandi
- Post 34 - tag+ - picked by Skuld
- Post 42 - THESLITHERYDEE

Expect a PM soon with your redeem codes. Thanks to everyone for participating!

The good news is that you've won. The bad news is that I can't contact you via PM to share the redeem code :). Let me know how you'd like it delivered and I'll make it happen.
