I um... I might actually apply for this.
I've been looking for something new lately and after spending time in Europe when younger I've been dying to get back (it's been FAR too long). Not sure this is EXACTLY what I had in mind but it might be something to consider. Leaving family would be difficult, but I'm sure they're sick of seeing me anyway ;) I can buy a seat on a plane for a 90+ lb dog right? He's NOT going into cargo.

Curious to see how this turns out. The inclusion of social platforms makes me wary about the role and engagement of the "Community Specialist" on the forum. But we can always hope...
Vitek: Is it even possible to have experience with 4chan and have excellent spoken and written English? :-) [...] Ha, thought the same when I read that requirement.

Hmmmm, access to GOG's catalog. But relocating to Poland is not in my plans. And besides I'm first and foremost a coder.

And while we're on it, what about the current/previous web team? Granted, i lack the knowledge about web stuff but when there's forum members creating scripts with features that were asked by the community while gog (web team) doesn't do a damn thing it makes me wonder what are they currently doing.
Oh, besides fixing anything related with money/payment, i know that when it comes to that they suddently become active.
Speaking as a web dev and former consultant, probably one of these happened:
1) The forums were done by someone who left and the code is a mess so GOG needs someone experienced to sort it out
2) The forums and site were originally done by outside consultants, and no one in GOG got the documentation for the forums, so they have no idea what to change
Also, they might need some special skills which limits the talent pool. There are a surprising number of obscure web programming languages.
It doesn't seem like GOG is offering enough compensation. I mean, Poland might be awesome to visit but just moving in the US is a freakish nightmare and I don't even want to think about moving to Poland. I might be interested, but changing continents with a pet? That's an epic challenge. I know that developers are in demand in eastern Europe so perhaps the local market is so hot GOG can't attract anyone local either.
