Y'know, perhaps it's just me thinking this, but...
Does anybody else get the feeling that 90% of the people worried about moderation are hating on it because they're afraid of getting banned?

I like the freedom we have on gog.com right now.

Why sacrifice to take that away?

If I look at it it's actually more civilized here than on the Steam forums with their moderators.

Meh. I don't want to see "official" opinions and/or stances enforced. From either end of the spectrum. I figure most of the crazies out themselves pretty quickly, so people can see which avatars/usernames = "skip this post".

Personally, I try to keep my mouth shut about most topics that seem likely to get into the flaming type arguments, or that seem likely to attract "serial down voters".

...even if I do serially down vote a few, specific people.

I'd love to get the job, but I'm awful when dealing with people of the human kind. :(
