Wait, we're a "community"? I thought we were a breakfast club rip-off.

...Sure, we'd all have to learn a new form of English, but that's a small price to pay, I'm sure you could set up a workshop or two for us :-P

It was just meant as a general comment/joke towards Fairfox and her 'unique' way of language use :)

So any feedback the staff gets is all filtered by the mods.
And now you're aware of the whole issue, as I'm sure you can see the potential for such abuse to go undiscovered for years.
Is having NO moderation whatsoever really a better alternative?
We have enough abuse of regular members as it is already. Allow me to point out again that what Wakalo's done in here is literally criminal activity, and things which Tauto and Kleetus have done have directly broken GOG rules, yet nobody does anything about that. In fact, if anything, they've said they don't care.
Which is a worse abuse?
Edit: It's also worth pointing out that these no-moderation issues are exactly why a lot of the old, decent members have either went into hiding or left altogether. I believe some of them also even decided to boycott GOG as a result.

I'd rather a mod who's from here and makes one or two mistakes yet makes great improvements over one who doesn't know anything about this place and just sits on his haunches and does nothing.
I also know this is a lot to ask, since you don't know me very well, but please trust me on this without having to find out for yourself - it would end up worse than you can imagine.
GOG would lose money, too. Probably not much, as I believe that the vast majority of their customers doesn't even visit the forums, but they would lose a few customers nonetheless. It could easily be a noticeable monetary loss.

Oh yeah, and most of the people using a certain script have me blocked. :P Be kind of hard to be an Mod if no one could see my posts. XD

And if we're going to talk finances, it's worth mentioning that GOG could probably close the forum altogether and not have that big of a loss.

Because there's always going to be something. Always. And if there's a challenge to be had, more people will try to see how far they can go. Inevitably, you'll have to put increasingly sterner rules in place.
Honestly, this is the most pacific, calm board I ever posted in, by FAR.
I'd say some people just need to grow some thicker skin & not get triggered as much. I for one welcome a differing viewpoint. I might see things from another perspective & learn something new.
Bottom line, three people causing mischief is a very good number for any community. I'd say the forums are working perfectly.
