Half Life 2.
Reason: requires Steam.
Wow, so many people here dislike multiplayer... And sport games.

AB2012: - Sequels that unnecessarily end on a new unfinished cliffhanger when the previous game already felt complete (Syberia 3)

dtgreene: Or like Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back? (Granted, this is a movie, not a game, but the same principle applies here.)
Actually, there is a trilogy of platformers for Snes based on original Star Wars. So it is on topic anyway.

Anything made by Blizzard.
MMOs and The Sims series. Though if EA release the first two game here, I'm getting it for my sister.
- MOBAs
- modern Call of Duty and Battlefield games and their clones
- anything that has Denuvo and/or Red Shell
- weeaboo bait games
- MMOs without a free aspect
- Overwatch except maybe an odd free weekend
- copypasta platformers

LootHunter: Why?
No reason. I still have the boxed versions of StarCraft and Diablo 2 which I bought as a teen (probably more out of a feeling of obligation - these were the cool games to have, after all - than actual interest in them). Haven't touched Diablo 2 even once in 18 years, I played StarCraft for maybe 10 minutes and then decided I'd rather play something else instead. Likewise, when the WarCraft adventure game leaked, I downloaded it and the zip file has been gathering dust on my hard drive ever since.

I'm sure they're great, groundbreaking games and all, but for some reason I'm not interested enough to actually play them.

Wait, that surprises you?
Fortnite (The views a game gets on Twitch are always inversely proportional to my interest for the game)

Persona 5 (I don't like hardcore JRPGs)

Dragon's Lair (It looks dumb)

Factorio (This is an unpopular opinion: Factorio will never go on sale, because the devs stated so. I respect them for this but I'll never spend that much for that game, even though it looks interesting)
The Final Fantasy games. I don't like the manga style in general, but in particular I cannot stand this japanese convention consisting in shaping all on-map characters as toddlers, while giving them adult or teen faces in dialogues. I really don't know what to make of it. Is it the story of little kids à la south park, imagining themselves as their grown up counterparts ?

This means that I will die having missed out on these supposed narrative classics. But also that I won't play these RPGmakers clones.

Also : card games. Not only I don't do multiplayer and am not sure they are really meant to be played versus AIs, but also I don't like their "collectible" aspect, DLC packs, and vague gambling vibes. I could make exceptions for card games that really include everything in one buy, I suppose.

World of Warcraft
A lot of Diablo sequels and clones
A lot of popular RTSs
Console exclusives in series that I just don't care about (e.g., Uncharted, Gears of War)
Any FIFA and Madden games. Cause they're so boring. Why people keep buying them every damn year is beyond me, even if they like the sports.

Any Final Fantasy post 7. Can't be bothered with playing it on emulator, won't come to GoG.

Any of those big name online multiplayer shooters. Don't care enough/laptop kinda old/I already spend tons of time on single player games.

Pretty much all console exclusives, because I'll not buy a console in the foreseeable future. Maybe a Switch in like 10 years, but that's it.

I'll get flak for these, but those old ass FPS classics like DOOM and Painkiller. Shit gives me headaches. Can not stand the looks of them either.

Binding of Isaac/Gungeon. Sometimes when I play games, I'll have a realization that i'm just doing the same shit over and over and over again with minuscule progression each time. Then I quit cold turkey. These games give me that vibe. Having said that, Nuclear Throne was super fun, so maybe I should give some a chance. Open to suggestions.
Anything that isn't released without DRM.

Anything MMO ... I don't like other players in my games! (apart from LAN with friends)
