What?!? What is he on about? I don't recall any developer calling me, a gamer, a "talentless freak" (isn't that what we gamers might call the developers?), and I still don't quite understand what makes this incident so remarkable, another failed online game that the gamers didn't feel like buying? Hence, I am still pretty sure that guy was just making some kind of dumb sarcastic joke.

Even more puzzling is that like it seems many others in this thread, I hadn't even heard about this game before this news about its cancellation. Then again I admit I don't really follow the development of forthcoming games, except in very rare cases (e.g. I did follow the development of the System Shock remake, and occasionally I've taken a note of the status if Star Citizen, even though I am not going to buy and play it, but you never know. I did try it out shortly when it was free to test.
Where is this happening? (Not a rebuttal, I just haven't seen (nor sought) such articles, just want to read some if there indeed are such.)

I'm afraid that the dude is serious. As you already can see in this thread there are people who actually believe what he is saying. The website in the post from above also speaks volumes.

This is not surprising. The main target audience for this game is playing games like Fortnite, League of Legends, Apex Legends or Overwatch. Most of the current loud people don't even play these games or are part the target audience.

Who is playing one of those online live-service games here? There is most likely nobody here playing these games because you can expect the refusal of mtx and the always-online part of these games.

If you look at live-service games you can see lots of free-to-play as the four games from above. For Concord you had to pay 40 bucks to get the standard edition. This is one of the main reason why it failed. The other main problem was the average gameplay in comparison to other free-to-play titles. If you want to compete with Fortnite you need more than what the game had to offer. This is why it failed. People saying that Concord failed because it is "woke" and now something is changing is quite ridiculous. The competitors as Fortnite, League of Legends, Apex Legends or Overwatch are usually described as "woke". Most free-to-play online games are considered as "woke". For some reason certain people as the dude in the video or some people in this thread are not mentioning this. You can compare this failure with Anthem or Redfall. Another game failed because of mismanagement. There is nothing really special about this.

Catering to the vocal minority for the lower interest rate will only take these companies so far. Nobody cares if a game is diverse if it makes sense. People don't want it shoved down their throats because Soros wants to fund another rebellion campaign in America.

Nah. I am quite relaxed. The whole thing is amusing, especially when you see such reaction videos as from above. The only vocal minority I see here is currently very loud spreading their views about "wokeness".
