Emob78: After scanning through some youtube videos about the movie, I just have to say...
Star Wars fans are all either 12 years old or 38 year old man-children suffering from various forms of development disorders. And regardless of age, they all lack self-awareness, humor, insight, or basic critical thinking abilities. I can't believe I counted myself among their number at one point. They're approaching Trekkie level of goofy awkwardness.
Oh, Star Wars. What hath offered thine soul to sacrifice thy great prestige? Why has thou fallen from thy lofty place? Hark hark.
I saw the original Star Wars in the theater when I was 7 years old. (Yes you can guess my age.) My parents dropped my brother and I off at the theater while they went shopping. It was a great thing to see such special effects for the time on the big screen. The movie has a lot of good memories for me.
That was back in a time when you could leave a 7-year old alone and not fear some sociopath would come along and take them away for reasons unknown. Fast forward, you can't even leave a child alone in a store with security guards to save their lives; fast forward further, you can't trust security guards.
If you ask me, the Star Wars fans have had to grow up with all the others' around them suffering various forms of development and social disorders. For one to prey on those lacking humor, insight or basic critical thinking abilities is probably one who would steal a 7-year old child if not being closely monitored.
