Awesome daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.

Ah yes. Fall. A time of gold and scarlet, overcoats, and increasingly cozy afternoons. A fine time to start stocking up for the winter. A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?
Today, the last day of the Big Fall Finale, is also a day of all the remaining daily deals - there's just so many of them. It's the time to grab everything you might be kinda into, and just maybe it'll also score you a free game or two, or three.

As we wind down the deals and pack our bundles, there's just one more thing to say: thanks for joining us in the Big Fall Sale!

While you're here, grab a few extra games for free by doing your thing and shopping around. The more you spend, the more you'll get back, so when your total spendings exceed $5, $15, and $30, you'll unlock a new game for FREE. They're pretty good ones too:
--System Shock 2 - free for everyone who spends at least $5.
--The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - free for everyone who spends at least $15.
--Banished - free for everyone who spends at least $30.

Pet the squirrel, grab your nuts, stock up for winter, and stay cozy out there - the Big Fall Sale is here with 11 days of discounted gaming joy, new deals every day, free games to collect, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back! The sale will last until November 15, 1:59 PM GMT.

budejovice: Well, another GOG sale with a full priced Shovel Knight. It is clear that they will only discount on Steam.

The line in the sand is crossed. Fuck Yacht Club. I'll never own one of their games.
avatar
CarrionCrow: Would give it until the end of the year. Another sale is coming.

After that, though...
Im over it. If the dev is going to play favorites they can go stick it where the sun dont shine...

Getcomposted: P.S. GOG, if you had included Kyn Deluxe Edition in the games on the first days, I would have bought it rather than the Base version. Now... Meh. No upgrade available so, no, I won't be spending another $11.69 for a soundtrack.
avatar
grimwerk: I think mrkgnao pointed out (somewhere) that the Deluxe version is in fact on sale, but it doesn't have an image entry on the sale page. Also, there is no link or mention of a deluxe edition on the vanilla Kyn page. Maybe this was also true at the start of the sale? Perhaps an oversight on GOG's part.

I would imagine that if you were to buy the Deluxe version (when it appears again in the sale), that GOG would refund your vanilla purchase, even if you have downloaded it. (Assuming, of course, you explain the situation to them.) Probably best to communicate your intent to GOG first, but I suspect they'd be reasonable about it.
Well considering [url=http://www.gog.com/game/kyn_deluxe_edition]versions are on sale atm, each with 60% off,
it might be easier to just purchase the latter as a gift and ask Gog to refund the first purchase. Then redeem the gift once a refund is issued.

Also, I find you lack of faith.. ahm, tracking disturbing :) No need for a tracker thread per say, but shouldn't there at least be a Birdy Script?
Where's Pidgeot anyway?

Fair enough.

Honestly, the game isn't fantastic. Played it, beat it, and that was that.

Niggles: Odd question. Have they started to repeat any dailys at all?
Odd question indeed.

Everything in the daily deals has been a repeat of the first day's deals, with the exception of 5 new games and 2 new movies.

See the tracking thread's OP.

Is this for real?
I've scanned the general in the first couple of days and didn't find said thread, then I kept looking in this one and kept seeing people ask for a tracker thread and get multiple responses there isn't one, thus I complained about it just moments ago...
Only to get ninjad with a response there actually is one started 3 days ago? And mentioned here now for the first time? XP

They're both on sale now. The Deluxe Edition definitely wasn't on the first few days. I know because I looked at both game pages. The Deluxe Edition was on my wishlist, but because I wasn't sure whether Kyn would be a repeating game at the time, I went ahead and bought the vanilla edition.

Now, I'm just too lazy to raise a support ticket and then the whole business of buying the Deluxe version as a gift, and then holding onto both versions whilst support gets round to my ticket... Yeah, I'm pretty sure that GOG will be nice and switch the emersion, refund my original purchase price etc., but, meh....
Just not feeling it tonight. Too much of an effort to actually switch on my laptop and do stuff. If I switch on my laptop as opposed to browsing on my tablet, that means I have to do my admin stuff as well - pay my bills, reply to work emails etc.

Nope, nope, nope. I took the next two weeks off as holidays - I will work only when I want to! Serious burnout occurring - so R&R is absolutely needed. I know it will niggle at me just because I'm a completist that I don't have the Deluxe Edition, so maybe if I'm in a better mood tomorrow, I'll raise the ticket. Or make the conscious decision that meh rules, and I'll be fine with the base version. :)

There were other people talking about the lack of a tracker thread, so one of them actually put their money where their mouth is, and started one.

I expected people might not be aware of it, as it indeed came a bit late, so I looked for an excuse to mention it here.
Don't forget to +1 MadalinStroe.

I just started Chapter 4 in Nox and it's pretty good so far! If anyone is on the fence about it, definitely pick it up.

And the 2 movies on sale are movies/docs that have been on sale before.Still hoping for some fresh sales in the movie department.Perhaps there is still a bundle in store.

For those concerned about Shovel Knight being discounted on Steam but not here, I emailed Yacht Club about it and this was the response:

"Honestly...it's tough to keep track of sales and we usually don't like to do them! We only pick sales which we feel will spotlight our game and not ask for a harsh cut in our game's price. I'm not sure why GOG has seen fewer sales, but we'll keep your feedback in mind and hopefully change it for the future. When you're out on a million platforms in a million territories...it can be confusing, haha! Sorry about that.

Take care."

Personally, I don't see anything malicious there, but of course others may interpret it differently.
Still waiting for Divinity:OS. Guess I can wait a couple more years for a worthy sale. Book of Unwritten Tales 2 doesn't seem to get much "sale" love either.

Why was seemingly most of the catalog on sale days ago but now most of them aren't? Nearly everything had some type of discount at first, now very few have any.

Marioface5: For those concerned about Shovel Knight being discounted on Steam but not here, I emailed Yacht Club about it
I have been emailing with them this afternoon. My first email was pointed, but wholly professional. They wrote back with the same BS lines - we don't like to discount, maybe you should buy games based on quality instead of price. Which was pretty condescending and of course missed the point completely. After my next email, more pointed yet still professional (and still sincerely wishing them luck in their endeavors), they seemed to have gotten it a little more. We left off with someone from Y.C. claiming they had emailed GOG to get their game discounted. Hopefully the site will see one sometime soon.

When I looked it up after my first posts here, I noticed that Humble has also received the same discount as Steam, also on multiple occasions, so I do think it would be smart of them to try to match that here. Though my marketing team is less staffed (and sells fewer plushies) than theirs, so maybe I'm off base...
Was X2 listed with a regular price of $9.99 on release yesterday or did I imagine that?
