mrkgnao: I see you too think it is a somnia sale.
Not really. But I do wait around for the deals to change. ;)
Hey, I have a question regarding D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die.
Is the GoG version missing a lot of DLC ? Id like to buy it, but if the DLC is missing Id rather get another version of the game.

Leroux: So what exactly is D4 - Dark Dreams Don't Die? I can't make heads or tails of it. It seems to be some kind of Telltale-style adventure with QTEs, but ... I've read that the QTEs are actually fun (is that possible?). I read you can buy more food if you're better at the QTEs, so is this a game about resource management, where you can starve? Some say that it has a great story and good, clever writing, while others say it's pretty random, cheesy and not on point. The scene with the Mysterious Girl I had a look at on YouTube looked like silly and weird Japanese soft-core eroticism ... It's called Season One, but apparantly the whole season is just two episodes with a combined length of 6 hours and ends in a cliff hanger, and not because there are more episodes to follow; the story would be continued in Season 2, if that's ever released? Has anyone here played it? Would you recommend it, and why? What makes it so popular and well-received?
The QTE's are made for the Kinect, but it works well with a controller. I think the QTE's were fun actually, compared to how it's done in other games. I also think there were only ever three long QTE-sequences (one for each episode). There are also hundreds of small QTE's where you have to swipe the controller-stick in one direction to open doors, pick up stuff, and so on. I don't have a Kinect myself, but I played through this on Xbox One with a controller, so I can't comment on the PC controls.

You can buy more food with credits, you get credits for pretty much everything if I recall correctly (but you get even more if you do well at the QTE's). You can starve to death, and must eat to avoid it. Almost every action you do takes a small amount of fatigue, and when that reaches zero, you starve. It's nothing to worry about, I never had to restart, as food is pretty abundant, and there are shops for buying food. You can also buy clothing and LP-records from the shop, among other things.

I think the story was good, and it has a lot of funny moments. There are three episodes in season one, episode 0, episode 1, and episode 2. 6 hours is a very accurate estimate. The story is not complete. It will be continued in season 2. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it's gonna be made anytime soon, and the developer recently said he's gonna take a break from game development. I still think it's a pretty neat game though, and I would recommend it.
I’m contemplating buying the Anno pack, but I have a question: Since I hate to build something and then have it destroyed by enemies, how much combat is in these three games and can you adjust difficulty or even turn combat off? Thanks for any answer.

Random_Coffee:
Thanks! I have an XBox360 controller, so that shouldn't be a problem, but I think I'll give it a pass for now, mostly due to its unfinished nature.
So when's the SSI stuff going to go on sale? Come on! You can do it!

I know that both FEAR games and AvP have a difficulty setting, but I'm not sure if Rise of the Triad has one. But I don't understand the "turn off" combat question. These are all FPS games in which the player has to survive.
Considering how baaaaadly Cinemaware screwed over their loyal gog customers, I'm surprised and, frankly, a little dismayed that these dicks get front page exposure for Wings Remastered Edition. These guys don't deserve another penny.

I'm fairly certain he's talking about this pack which contains the Anno XXXX AD games.
Unfortunately I haven't played enough of them to know if combat is absolutely integral to the game.

Oops! I misread that as "Ammo Pack" and then thought of the FPS bundle! Now I feel stupid. :P

But luckily I did get the Anno Series and from what I can tell you don't have to directly fight your competitors. In Anno 1701 there are pirates, but they can be avoided. The games are a lot of fun!

Combat is really not the main focus of the games. You will fight pirates in ships or maybe a rival, but very rarely is there land based combat unless you initiate it yourself or the game is out of hand. The games are more focused on your settlements and growing them thankfully as I am not a fan of losing my buildings in combat either.

I also recommend the games if you are a fan of city builders/business sim.

Actually I read it that way at first too, but I thought he meant the Commandos Ammo Pack.
All of Deep Silver titles were/are on sale except Metro Redux. Is a 50% or more discounted bundle possible? I guess it will really boost the MR's sales, so why not?
And again no bundles for me. Time to have a closer look at the daily deals. Maybe there is something for me there.

“Arytom! Set the sale for 50% and don't forget your filters!”

Metro was a great series! I hope it does go on sale so everyone can play it!
