Engerek01: Classic Anno Series background is "Ys Saga" background. When you move over Anno series you see Ys Saga games picture.
Yeah, I've noticed that too. I wonder if GOG will fix it.
More repeats and more terrible bundles. So far, this is easily the worst GOG sale I've ever seen, mostly just because of how disappointing it is. The first day seemed so good and so promising, and since then it's just been awful. I'm not a fan of the repeats, but at least those are mostly for good deals. The thing that really kills this sale for me is the bundles being such absolute garbage, especially since they're basically the only new thing each day.

mazewaliztli: Well still waiting for the star wars games to be on sale.
Unfortunately, I think they will not on this sale. But for 90% I'm sure SW games promo will show up before new SW movie, which will be on December. Of course I could be wrong.

IronArcturus: How is the Anno series? Which game is the best?
1404 =P
Drat, the squirrel won't give me any nuts!

Speak for yourself - while not for everyone, there have been many quality bundles that have tempted me to buy. Between the Elder Scroll bundle, Shooter bundle, Ys, and some single games on sale for ~90% like Death to Spies, there's a fair amount of good stuff coming day-to-day.

Hopefully things in the coming days will pique your interest, but there has been a fairly good variety over the first few days of this sale - at least for me.

Is 1701 any good?
Will there be any freebie or not?

IAmSinistar: Usually the Xmas sale bundles have higher discounts.
[..] rounding of "two-thirds off", which is 66.666% with an infinitely repeating final six. :)
Ah, of course.
Anyway, I should probably buy these on Xmas then.

I doubt there will be one. You can already unlock 3 bonuses.

Marioface5: ...
Don't be so quick to criticize. After years of intentionally keeping us awake for sales, GOG is finally demonstrating some corporate responsibility-- and putting us to sleep instead. You'll be healthier for it.

Yes but still people have to spend 5$ for it.
And GOG freebies are always thrilling.

I had never intended to speak for anyone but myself. I think the daily deals have been great, but the fact that we've had almost no new ones since the first day is not good. Usually the first third of a GOG sale has new deals, and then everything repeats twice. I don't know why they seem to have decided to use up everything they had on the first day this time.

The bundles, save for two from the first day, have all been pretty bad though. Not because the games aren't good, but because the bundles themselves aren't good. If all of the games we've seen in these 66% off and ~75% off bundles had been sold at those discounts individually, then I wouldn't be complaining. Instead, GOG has decided to take what would normally be okay or good deals, and put them in a bundle, turning them into bad deals. If the Anno games were being sold today 66% off individually, that would be fine, that's an okay discount. But the point of bundles is that there's a balance - You have to buy everything in the bundle together, but you get a crazy discount on it. Here, there's no crazy discount, but you still have to buy everything together to get the same discount you'd normally get from games being sold as daily deals. It's ridiculous. If a bundle isn't going to give you at least 85% off the games in it when you buy them all together, then it shouldn't be a bundle

I think the problem here is that GOG wants to have a ton of bundles for this sale, but they can't actually make a ton of good bundles, so we're seeing a ton of bad ones. Quality has been thrown out the window in favor of quantity, and that frustrates me, especially since (like I said before) these deals could be used as new daily deals instead.

I'm glad that not everyone is disappointed or frustrated by this sale like I am, though. It's at least nice to know that some people are enjoying it.
Will there be an encore day? I want to buy all the games I'm interested in in one go, so I'll get the freebies as well.

Why be frustrated? Its a sale, its purpose is to get you to by things you wouldn't normally by.
If I don't like a sale then I just don't by anything. If the sale fails, next time they will do it differently.

I think if anything the non-standard way they have approached it is confusing.

People I think were expecting after the first day, there would be more games, different games individually on sale. Now that we see this isn't the case its more ho-hum.

But again, if there truly are bad bundles (which I don' t agree that they are bad, I think its great they finally have a little variety in them) then GOG will adjust for it in there next sale. There goal is to make money afterall.

Also remember the winter sale is in a month, those are usually more comprehensive.
