boru: While it hasn't been GOG's greatest sale ever, I did get a nice price on Guild Gold and Eternal Lords on day one, so I'm pleased with that.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone has some purchasing guidance regarding the various versions of Europa Universalis or Crusader Kings? I'm a bit interested in trying one of these but I know that some of them have no tutorial.
Will any of those first day deals return? I've yet to see Signal Ops go back on sale.
I make this observation in pretty much every sale, but only because it's true - GOG members are unique in their expectation to be entertained by a sale. I count myself among them. I would say it's because the community usually rallies around a sale and has a good time together. But whatever the cause, it doesn't make the phenomenon any less remarkable.

Compared to an Insomnia, these regular sales are a real yawn-fest!

I bet you GOG's servers prefer the regular sale though.

So very true. This just doesn't get the blood pumping, though it's still a nice enough sale. As I say, we are exceptional in our desire to be entertained thus.

Well, watching that squirrel toss it's nut up and down is building the suspense.
What exactly is it planning to do with it?
Is today the day we get pelted with it?
What sort of creature do those eyes in the tree belong to?
Where does it disappear to?
When will we know the significance of GOG's instruction to "pet the squirrel"?
Is it a euphemism?
Is the squirrel rabid?

So many questions! Hitchcock has nothing on this drama!

Oh yes, and the games... :P
I pretty much shot past the $30 threshold on the first day, and today's Ys bundle is tempting me to complete my collection.
So I'd like to see some more new free games on the "Buy, Buy, BUY!" meter for the whales and slightly less svelte cetaceans. ;)

[Edit:] Also, considering that whales tend to have the more complete collections, the chances are increased that they will already own those extra free games, which means more chances of GA's, considering our community, and also the relevant threads.

I wonder why GOG feels the need to limit its sales. Why does it have to be either/or?

They seem to be able to have both daily deals and daily bundles in the same sale.

Why can't they have daily deals AND daily bundles AND an insomnia track AND mutators in the same sale?

Hi All,

Don't know if this has been answered already but, will GoG, on the final day of the sale, put all the featured sale Bundles again on sale?

You see, can't expend any cashiola at the moment.

Thank you.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. There are a bunch of sales that still haven't repeated.

There's a very good chance the bundles will repeat. They've done so in every sale I can remember. GOG is in the business of selling games, after all! :D

Yeah, I hope so. I'd missed the Signal Ops sale, but maybe it will show up before next week! :P
It would be interesting to see numbers from GOG at the end of the sale. Game that sold the most by number of copies, most by price, most popular bundle, etc. But I expect they're not allowed to make public disclosures like that for business or legal reasons.

I don't expect they will, but I can tell you right now which game will top the "number of copies" list: SS2.

Quite likely, though I did qualify it with "sold". But yes, it's all an exercise in speculation, since the numbers will not be released. Not that they have any reason to do so, sating our curiosity is not a valid business priority (unless such a thing is part of one's business model).

I believe that legally speaking it was sold. You had to pay GOG in order to get it. The fact that it was packed together with another item (or items) does not mean it wasn't sold.

I think.

Cogito ergo sumthing.
