Awesome daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.

Ah yes. Fall. A time of gold and scarlet, overcoats, and increasingly cozy afternoons. A fine time to start stocking up for the winter. A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?
Today, the last day of the Big Fall Finale, is also a day of all the remaining daily deals - there's just so many of them. It's the time to grab everything you might be kinda into, and just maybe it'll also score you a free game or two, or three.

As we wind down the deals and pack our bundles, there's just one more thing to say: thanks for joining us in the Big Fall Sale!

While you're here, grab a few extra games for free by doing your thing and shopping around. The more you spend, the more you'll get back, so when your total spendings exceed $5, $15, and $30, you'll unlock a new game for FREE. They're pretty good ones too:
--System Shock 2 - free for everyone who spends at least $5.
--The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - free for everyone who spends at least $15.
--Banished - free for everyone who spends at least $30.

Pet the squirrel, grab your nuts, stock up for winter, and stay cozy out there - the Big Fall Sale is here with 11 days of discounted gaming joy, new deals every day, free games to collect, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back! The sale will last until November 15, 1:59 PM GMT.

ZaineH: It would be cool if it did but I was thinking more along the lines of .
I was just being a smart/dumb-ass (circle as appropriate). To answer your question, it seems quite a bit like the old Psygnosis title [url=http://www.mobygames.com/game/destruction-derby]Destruction Derby. I hadn't really given it much of a look, not being into racing games really, but it's better looking than I expected. Might be worth a gamble at these bargain prices.

Konrad: a bunch of new deals, and some returning from today.
So where are the new deals, then? Aside from two new bundles and today's releases, it looks like everything for today was already up yesterday. Hopefully I'm speaking too soon, but it is concerning when on the second day of a sale almost everything is just repeats.

I'd missed the Signal Ops deal, but it looks like it hasn't returned yet.
In case anyone's wondering, Unmechanical is a "new" offer in the Day 2 night-time batch.
Do you think the sales will repeat? There were a couple of games from yesterday's sale that I misses out on and I now that repeats do sometimes happen with these sales often near the end.

I hope they will repeat, because the current deals are lacking.

Almost everything today is a repeat from yesterday, and GOG seems to always repeat deals once or twice, so yes.
Brutal Legend looks cool. I know it got a meh reception but it seems to have been reappraised positively. I'm on a Laptop now so I now have to worry about game specs (something that is new to me) The game asks for 2.5GHz and apparently my machine goes up to 2.20GHz. All the other specs (in as much as I understand them) seem to be fine. Should I give it a go?

Looks like the minimum is 2.2 GHz, and a newer 2.2 GHz would probably still be a little better than a 2.2 GHz when BL was released.

There are some RTS-like portions in the game, which will be a little more CPU driven, but you'll probably be more or less all right.

omega64: I think it is, Haven't played the original but when I switch to the original rendering option it kinda looks shit. :P
You also avoid having to deal with the tank controls.
avatar
haydenaurion: Did you encounter many gamebreaking bugs? I'm still on the fence about this one because of the reports of bugs.
A few visual bugs, none of them gamebreaking.
Edit: Finished the game, had one gamebreaking bug in the last chapter.

Johnmourby:
How does that "50% hipster" thing work? Do you only sport half of a handlebar mustache? =P
avatar
adlerhn: I've already hit the 30$. Any chance of stretch goals for spending the next 30$?
avatar
grimwerk: I suppose that future purchases could be gift codes for your main account bought using an alternate account. So you'd get a duplicate set of bonus games. Not really what you were asking, I know.

I agree that additional rewards would be nifty, though I'd never reach them myself. Perhaps the rewards leave gog a bit vulnerable. I wonder if downloading reward games somehow nullifies your ability to return your purchased games.

I ramble.
Just to answer a minor point - the rewards don't nullify your ability to return games. But GOG reserves the right to remove a promotional game from your account if a return means you no longer qualify for it. It's the last point in the FAQ for the Big Fall Sale.

IAmSinistar: If you simultaneously put every sale item in your cart, go back to the front page, and click on the eyes inside the tree, the nut turns into GOGbear's head.

This may be a lie.
avatar
Getcomposted: Actually, you have to put every item into your cart, and if you're the first to click on every leaf and tree in a certain order, you get every sale item in the whole sale.

This may also be a lie building on another lie.
But does that mean it's a false negative? O_o
I spent hours trying to catch a Mew by surfing in improbable locations with unlikely combinations of objects and Pokemon due to people like you two. :-P
