Awesome daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.

Ah yes. Fall. A time of gold and scarlet, overcoats, and increasingly cozy afternoons. A fine time to start stocking up for the winter. A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?
Today, the last day of the Big Fall Finale, is also a day of all the remaining daily deals - there's just so many of them. It's the time to grab everything you might be kinda into, and just maybe it'll also score you a free game or two, or three.

As we wind down the deals and pack our bundles, there's just one more thing to say: thanks for joining us in the Big Fall Sale!

While you're here, grab a few extra games for free by doing your thing and shopping around. The more you spend, the more you'll get back, so when your total spendings exceed $5, $15, and $30, you'll unlock a new game for FREE. They're pretty good ones too:
--System Shock 2 - free for everyone who spends at least $5.
--The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - free for everyone who spends at least $15.
--Banished - free for everyone who spends at least $30.

Pet the squirrel, grab your nuts, stock up for winter, and stay cozy out there - the Big Fall Sale is here with 11 days of discounted gaming joy, new deals every day, free games to collect, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back! The sale will last until November 15, 1:59 PM GMT.

Excuse me, two questions:

-- Will discounts change during this big fall sale or not? Are they time-limited just like the suggested bundles?

-- For example, Jade Empire is 80% discounted now. Does it remain 80% discounted until the end of big sale?

ShadoWAsheS: Is that normal that only the Fallout Bundle I bought was counted in the "Earn Free Games" thing? (I just spend +40€ in other games)
No, any purchases from the sale should count towards it. If they didn't, you should contact support to get it sorted out.

666_Vomit_666: There appears to be an error on the site. Some game that I own are shown on the front page, but not in the way that I own them ...

Syberia 1 + 2
The "Owned" tag seems to be bugged, some of mine show as such while others don't. It still works as should if you open the game page though.

Thanks a lot for the answer!
I'll wait a bit and if nothing changes I'll contact support :)

HypersomniacLive: For me it shows for some, and for some it doesn't.

IAmSinistar: Yes, I'm getting spotty "OWNED" tags on the other pages now as well. They seem more likely to appear when the game has a large image, oddly enough. Probably still work in progress.
I think any games that you own that appear in the 'Staff Picks' tab are also marked as owned in other tabs, but that's just a guess.

Question1 was answered here:

Q: Should I wait until the last day of the sale in case a discounted game gets an even bigger discount (similar to Steam) or am I safe purchasing now?
A: You're safe and sound. No tricky surprise discounts here.

For question 2 read this:

"Our awesome promo launch seems to be a little confusing, so just to clarify - here's how this thing is going down:

Today is special. There are a whole lot of deals going on at once, more than usual - this will go on for 24 hours. Staff Picks are a selection of the deals from the promo, but you can find more deals under other tabs and by browsing the catalog for all discounted games.

Afterwards, we're switching to a more standard promo schedule with fewer discounts that include a bunch of new deals, and some returning from today. That includes Daily Bundles (new every 12 hours, live for 24 hours) and Daily Deals (new every 24 hours, live for 48 hours).

I hope that clears up most of the uncertainty, this is a pretty unusual start for the promo indeed. :)"

All discounts are time-limited (24h or 12h) but they may be available several times. In the past GOG sales the games always had the same discount if they became available again.

You might be able to get a game at a higher discount if it gets bundled with other games...

Maxvorstadt: I thought the sales items will change every 12 hours? On the front page it`s said that there still 16 hours left.
avatar
IronArcturus: So the counters only work for 24 hours and they don't count down the 12 hour sales?
The first 24h (and probably the last 24h as well) are special in that there are far more games discounted at once and that all games stay discounted for 24h.

Tomorrow there will be fewer games discounted and apart from the bundles only for 12h.

musteriuz: Slight complaint from my side. The following games does not form part of the games shown as on sale on the front page. If I didn't have a look at my wishlist, I would have missed these. They are: Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure; Ironclad Tactics Deluxe Edition; Albion; Subject 13; SuperPower 2; Archimedean Dynasty. That has now cost me one more transaction and with forex rates in my country currently at near 15 to $1, I really don't need to be spending unnecessary funds on conversion costs.

doady: Are Depths of Peril and Din's Curse part of this sale? I am confused why they are discounted and for how long. They have been on my wishlist for a while and I could have missed them.

I didn't even know Albion was on GOG, and suddenly I see it mentioned in this thread as on sale but like Depth of Peril and DIn's Curse as far as I can see it is not to be found on the front page and there is no announcement.
There are multiple tabs on the front page (see where it says 'Staff Picks', then lists a few other categories?), as there are WAAAY too many discounted games to show at once; in fact, I don't think all of them even appear in one of those tabs -- hence the button to "Browse catalog" at the bottom of the Fall Sale section of the front page.

To answer your questions, doady, yes, the Soldak games (Depths of Peril, Din's Curse and its expansion, Drox Operative and its expansion) are part of the sale -- there were only a handful of games discounted the last couple days before the sale started.

Albion was released here this summer.

Konrad: [...] Daily Bundles (new every 12 hours, live for 24 hours) and Daily Deals (new every 24 hours, live for 48 hours).
Shouldn't those two be the other way around?

Where is the dinosaur on the front page?!?!

chatnick: Where is the dinosaur on the front page?!?!
It's a tiny one, peering out from inside the squirrel's tree stump. =)
yeah another sale more games to my collection.
Now if i could just fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff get my 2 1/2 year old & her 6 month old brother to go to bed before 10pm
every bloody night I might actually get to play something.

I did feel like telling her this afternoon that we spend too much time together & we should see other people.

Instead we sofia the princess again.
Less money for food.
More money for games.

Oh well.
Time to lose weight. :)

:P
no discount on keane????????????
Of course GOG does this just as I am a day or two away from losing my Internet for an indeterminate length of time.

sigh...

Ah well, that means if nothing else at least the wallet is safe until next time.

For those participating: Good luck and hope you get the game you are after. Happy Hunting!

apehater: no discount on keane????????????
