Awesome daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.

Ah yes. Fall. A time of gold and scarlet, overcoats, and increasingly cozy afternoons. A fine time to start stocking up for the winter. A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?
Today, the last day of the Big Fall Finale, is also a day of all the remaining daily deals - there's just so many of them. It's the time to grab everything you might be kinda into, and just maybe it'll also score you a free game or two, or three.

As we wind down the deals and pack our bundles, there's just one more thing to say: thanks for joining us in the Big Fall Sale!

While you're here, grab a few extra games for free by doing your thing and shopping around. The more you spend, the more you'll get back, so when your total spendings exceed $5, $15, and $30, you'll unlock a new game for FREE. They're pretty good ones too:
--System Shock 2 - free for everyone who spends at least $5.
--The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - free for everyone who spends at least $15.
--Banished - free for everyone who spends at least $30.

Pet the squirrel, grab your nuts, stock up for winter, and stay cozy out there - the Big Fall Sale is here with 11 days of discounted gaming joy, new deals every day, free games to collect, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back! The sale will last until November 15, 1:59 PM GMT.

Again I will have to skip a sale, not a fan of unlocking the games that do not interest me buying what interests me :/

Can someone tell me are System Shock 2, Chronicles of Riddick and Banished giftable or not because not interest me?
Just once I'd like a sale giveaway incentive to be a game I either want or don't already have. :s
Are Depths of Peril and Din's Curse part of this sale? I am confused why they are discounted and for how long. They have been on my wishlist for a while and I could have missed them.

I didn't even know Albion was on GOG, and suddenly I see it mentioned in this thread as on sale but like Depth of Peril and DIn's Curse as far as I can see it is not to be found on the front page and there is no announcement.
In the 'Thinking' tab, there is a gap in which two game tiles would fit - near Dungeons 2 - A Game of Winter and above Breach & Clear - Deadline and the Blitzkrieg games. Are here some games hidden which are banned in Germany? If yes, which ones? Commados?

eiii: Nice sale with high discounts again. But unfortunately GOG hasn't learned a lot from the last sale. The games on sale at the front page again do not have images and no games are displayed as owned.
They do show as owned for me at least...

eiii: I like the bonus system with free games depending on the amount of money you have spent, but I don't like that the bonus games are fix. Vouchers instead of fixed games would have been much better.
Not to mention Riddick and Banished are discounted and you can actually buy both for total of 7,38€ gaining SS2 for free in process :-p.

Suggestion for next sale they give bonus games for bigger spenders:

Give users few games to choose from per bonus tier. Gives higher change there's some bonus game user wants and don't own already (own SS2 and Riddick, don't want Banished). Last sale wanted Xenonauts so decided to spend bit extra to get it as bonus.
DO NOT discount the bonus games during that particular sale or very least choose games with less than 50% discount with discounted price comparable to bonus treshold you give them for free.

Nice sale otherwise. Only problem is pretty much only must have's on my wishlist are too new to get good discounts for and don't really need to extend backlog with games I might want to try someday (with over 500 games backlog that means probaly never). ;-p

InfraSuperman: Nice to see the Commandos games on sale...
I'm still angry at gog. :(
avatar
jalister: As usual, I own all the free bonus games being offered. :(

Hopefully Invisible, Inc will be on sale.

avatar
Fever_Discordia: Because you own the Interplay ones, these are the Bethesda ones, which are the same, pretty much, but have separate entries in the catalog - weird but true!
avatar
jalister: The different entries is due to the bonus content. The classic versions provide several bonuses, including the game soundtracks.
Yeah but IIRC the Bethesda ones have high resolution support out of the box, without having to install a community patch, or something like that...

If I recall my conversation with GOG when these new versions came out, the executables for both versions (Interplay and Bethesda) will be kept in parity. So there shouldn't be any technical benefit to the new releases. Their only selling point is, well, they are for sale. :)

Here's a post from Paczyk.

I'm considering grabbing Shadow Watch. Is it a good tactical game? How is it compared to X-COM?
Unlocked Banished on the first day. So much for doing NaNoWriMo. *sigh*

Yes they are, but the codes expire after a while.

Kunovski: EDIT:
ok, actually I can't do that anymore apparently, as the gift page disappeared from GOG website during the upgrades... :P anyways...
Go to your Account page, Orders & Settings, then click the Orders History thing and uncheck your actual purchases, leaving the gift ones checked. See pic.

GOG, is there and if there isn't, can you please implement an optional filter so that the mess that it is the first page during sales such as this one, can be eh less of a mess by using the filter to not show games I already own?
I mean, sure the 4 or something bundles are easy to look at even if I own some/all of them, but the rest of the page with the "single" games....it drives me crazy with how messy it is and how hard it is to quickly (not possible) get an accurate look.

Do I even make sense? lol
Anyway, great sale, already got some games. Wish there were more (other than the ones already here) Star Trek games though.
